And now it's my turn to check in on you, as the news is telling me a university building in what I think is your home city just collapsed. I don't think the building's department is a subject you're studying but, just in case, you weren't anywhere near that, right?

There is quite a number of universities here in St. Petersburg, and the one in the news was not the one I studying at. Fortunately, there were no casulaties either (or even injuries, for that matter, I don't think). They were doing repairs, and the top floor collapsed due to too much construction materials being piled up all in one place. The 81 faculty members and students were evacuated, and the classes have been safely moved to a different building.
