# About me
I'm from Vancouver Canada originally and now reside near Seattle. After earning a degree in Illustration and Graphic Design at Capilano University I decided I would also like to study classical animation which is now basically obsolete but did it ever hone my drawing skills! After experimenting with many mediums and techniques I fell in love with ballpoint pen when I needed a fast and inexpensive method for a job I was not making any money on. I've illustrated a couple of books for people who self published, and have sold several paintings and done murals in between for the cash. As you can probably tell, my favorite subjects to draw are anything Romantic and I'm particularly fond of costume. My influences/heroes include Mercer Mayer, Don Rosa and Edward Gorey# Comments

I don't know when you were at Capilano but you may well have drawn me if it's within the last 13 years as I have been working there as a model for the IDEA and animation programmes and the now defunct Studio Arts.
Really like your work, obviously you had a good grounding!

LOL when you said 13 years I thought surely I had, then I did the math. I JUST missed you by a year. And now I feel very old! Too bad about Studio Arts- sign of the times I guess? Anyway Capilano was great times.

Too bad! I was up there today actually, working with Moh in the animation programme.
I tend to meet a lot of ex-Cap students wherever I work, including most of the gaming and animation studios in Vancouver!

Have just seen your work-beautiful illustrations. You are very talented. The art world today is so screwed up. Tracy Emin making mega bucks from what she laughingly calls art and you with such obvious skills having to work in the fast food industry.

You're too kind! Well the fates seem to have that in mind for me. I actually quite like the one I work at, it's more of an actual restaurant with real food that we make by hand. And the upside of not monetizing my art (aside from my small Patreon income) is that I can draw whenever the muse takes me, sort of removes any pressure and allows me total freedom. At least that's what I'll tell myself
