it's one of the most famous animes, and I don't usually even like anime! Worth watching if you want to see a story that seems to be about teenagers and giant robots, then revealing itself to be an incredibly depressing story about nihilism and depression >_>

Nope, none. I really am not an anime liker at all. Never was to be fair. The only one I watched was Yuri on Ice, because I wanted to paint a picture of the two main characters for my friend and wanted to know some background before I do that. XD It was sweet and not too annoying.
