Yeah I know what you mean felt the same way when I first got on myself, years ago that is.
Quick piece of advice since your starting though, this might ease the stress

A good way to start getting attention and watchers is by fav peoples work and commenting on there pages. Just Start chatting you know.
Join groups that are under your medium so your work gets exposure. (Which you've already done)
Watch others and learn from how they manage their page.
Or Watch them to be updated with their stuff.

Essentially produce content and dive into the community

Modify your page and personalize it.

If you have questions on how to do things feel free to ask fellow deviants they've done what you want to do or go here
