hehe no problemo I recently just got back on here. Uni life is awesome!!!!! Although a double degree is a pain due to workload and travel, but the people are GREAAT! >.< at people mentality is on the same lvl!

I got around 4.5 yrs due to I had one sem leave. *sighs* im doing Digital Media and computer science at UNSW

Wow! Sounds like you've got quite a crazy schedule! Hey, cool, is that Digital Media course meant to be at Cofa? Same one as I did! Do you have ThreeDeeSteve as one of your lecturers?

Anyhow, enjoy your time at uni... AND if you can, check out some programmes as part of your uni course that'll allow you to study overseas for a semester! It's one thing I regretted not doing!! Just ask around about it, I think you should be able to do some of your units abroad. It'll be a good experience and might set you up internationally.

yeh it sure is, honestly we aren't treated fairly though... Always end up with the worst time slots.

YEP! Im doing DM at COFA! I am hoping to have him as a teach. Heard he is good!

Oh wow really? If I do get the chance I hoped my dad allows me.... Then again they have told me to do single degree if I were to do any overseas studying.

Guh... sorry to hear. Must be all that crazy construction going on. I hear it'll finish in 2013. But at least you'll be there to benefit from the finished construction! Maybe even have it in time for your final year/major work. :3

I remember having a lot of classes that finished at 9PM. That annoyed me so much!! Worst one was when I had a morning class, 5 hr gap then an evening class. X__x

Hmm.. well I'm not sure who you should speak to (perhaps the co-ordinator) but definitely see if it can be arranged. I can ask my friend if he knows anything about it - he's one of the 3D tutors at CoFA -- you might end up having him and/or Steve if you do all the 3D classes.

OMG I cant take classes that late =_= esp I travel 2 hrs one way.... That 5 hr gap is in my very first sem in uni XDDD definately annoying and you are very tempted to procrastinate....

What I did instead (they couldnt help GAHHHHH RAGGGGGEEEE ) is that I arrange notetakers for my circumstances. Yeh I want to major in gaming and animation ))

I went once about a month ago to do a voice thing for my friend's masters project and it was such a pain in the butt to get to F block. Guh!! But I'm sure the new facilities will be fantastic. If you're not graduating for another few years, at least you have a chance to be one of the first to try the new equipment! Even the sound studios in F block... they weren't around when I was there. We had ancient stuff.... Actually, we didn't even learn how to use sound equipment (in the recording studios) if we weren't majoring in it. Hopefully they'll be on time to finish in 2013!

Yeahhh... I live about 1.5hrs away including the bus travel, I kinda know what you mean. You don't rely on the 378/311 buses, do you? There's a shortcut you can take through the alley if you get off on the second stop on Flinders St if the bus turns at Taylor Square. Had I known this in my first 3 years of uni, it would have made my life so much easier!! Let me know if you want details, I might be able to draw it on a map or something.

I have a friend who lives in Wollongong (actually he's the 3D tutor at Cofa) so he still makes the 2 hr-one way journey. >__<;;; He's hoping to move closer to Sydney soon. But he did Digital Media and honours as well so he did that for 4 years. T__T

Currently working from home, 2 freelance jobs, lots of illustration work! :3 One for a magazine, one for a pitch for a tv animation series!

not in a long shot ill be graduating XDDDD still stuck in first year. Kinda lonely that everyone goes on- then again the bright side is I get to leech off their notes and seek them out if I ever needed advice XD plus as you say, new equipment~~~~~

On my first day of cofa, HOW THE HECK I GET TO F BLOCK during O week XDDD Yeh I went there to do voice recording as well for my friend doing an anime dub
yeh atm the sound classes for 2nd yr apparently gets to learn how to use the sound studios. Personally im kind of not keen in doing vid and sound, since they require feild work in my own time XD Then again I barely managed... half dead...

when you mentioned 'ancient equipments' im thinking Zoom recorders XDDD Their quality seems equivalent to an Iphone's recorder lulz.

TT^TT I rely on the buses that goes straight to Kensington campus on days I have COMP first or MATHS first. Otherwise I take the buses to Oxford street which stops kinda in front of COFA-nearest to the F block and cafe area. Most of my timetable with COFA and Kensington mix, I switch campuses with the shuttle bus, although its always competition who gets to go on it first ... >.> ;;

WOOOOO serious?! I seriously thinking any more than 1hr is bothersome >.< actually one of my comp sci friends he lives in blue mountains which is freakin 3 hrs away >.> I wonder how these guys even manage their school life like this!

niiiiiiccccceee~ Though its really awesome to get in touch with one of you guys after so long! Every now and again I would wonder what you two have been up to in these few yrs XD Plus what is really like to be in the field and what it takes to get into the industry itself.

Kind of nervous thinking about it... plus living away to America too, it will definitely a big step in my life.

well its either the person is naturally talented in all aspects, the uni has VERY low standards or simply the coarse is too easy ie business and commerce

I do programming and digital Media and trust me, my coarse is hell and barely any of us pass the coarse smoothly. currently only 8 students in this class
