Well, once you deactivate your account, you need to wait 2 days before reactivating it. However, if you deactivate your account and wait for 30 days or more, that's when the account is gone for good.
I know because I deactivated it myself once, but it's a long story.

Simple. After 2 days have gone by, they'll have the option to reactivate their account or not before going to the deviantART main page. Should they choose to reactivate their account, the account will be reactivated. However, Should they choose not to reactivate it, nothing will happen. It will still be inactive, but the deviantARTIST can reactivate it at a later date that doesn't exceed 30 days.
