# About me

My name is Pierre Droal and I live near Paris, France. I graduated from Les Art Décoratifs de Paris (animation & special effects), and began my carreer in the cinema industry. I soon realized that the technical part of my job was taking over the artistic side, so I decided to change course and to focus on developing my abilities as a visual artist and painter. During this period, which coincided with the rise of art communities on the web, my exchanges with other artists from all over the world helped me to refine my personal style and to progress in my craft.

Since then, I work as a freelance illustrator & comic book artist for french editors such as J'ai Lu, le Seuil, Le Sorbier, Soleil and Dargaud. My images have also been featured on Ballistic Exposé & Painter, CFSL artbooks, ImagineFX, Spectrum and Heavy Metal.
