Some of my more recent pictures - Six-Shooter, Fantastic Elastic and Echidna, among others - are reminding me that the more I draw the happier I am with the outcome, and the more pleased I am with the final product.
The challenge then is in continuing to draw and not falling back into bad habits.

Finishing a new drawing yesterday, confirmed for me that my increasing anxiety levels are the cause of why I don't draw more often.
The whole time I was drawing, my brain was going, "It looks so good. You should stop before you ruin it." Every line on the page was met with the thought, "There. That's fucked it."
Each time I'd get something - a hand, an arm, a collar, a belt - onto the page, I'd have to push past that voice saying, "That looks great. You should stop here before you screw the whole thing up."
Which is annoying.

One of the best things about colouring in with photoshop when you don't know how to use photoshop and it's just trial and error is when you stumble across an awesome technique purely by accident which changes the way you draw.
One of the worst things is looking at all of your old artwork and thinking, "Boy, wouldn't that new technique look good on that picture?"
