# About me
Ok, let's see if we can get this straight. I'm ManOfSteel. I'm the artist. That big guy with the muscles wearing the blue tights and the red cape? His name is David. He can't fly and he doesn't have X-ray vision. I just like to dress him up. Well actually, he hardly ever wears any clothes. David has been a staple at Renderotica.com for over sixteen years and has a gallery of over 800 images. While his lady friends make appearances from time to time, the action usually centers around David and some other guy. His supporting cast includes aliens, evil scientists, a lovelorn admirer whom he's never met and with whom he only interacts in dreams, and his pesky rival, Brad.David's job is fulfilling fantasies of all kinds so I portray him as the dream boyfriend, the shy cowboy, the gruff leather hustler, Greek gods, famous model, captive hero, and handsome prince among other things. The images are sometimes accompanied by stories, poems, and I think I remember an entire Broadway musical in there. All the images here that do not feature a person are related to him in some way and have not yet appeared at Renderotica, so all you Deviants are getting a bit of a treat. Learn more about him here: www.blueeyedbeast.com
Enjoy.

Hi. I have decided to rekindle my original love affair with M2. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing (in a note if you prefer) how you get your guy so big and well balanced. Are you using morph targets? If so did you make them yourself? And if you did how did you do it? So many questions. I just abandoned the guy and now want to add a new character set to my lineup and frankly I don't want to use Genesis characters or higher than 3rd Gen Poser guys.
Any help is appreciate. Thanks!

I miss talking to you Sweetie.
I'm glad all that stuff with you dad is mostly over. I know with me, I'm still pissed as all fuck at my Dad for dying the way he did, and the mess he left behind which I'm still dealing with, and he's been gone for almost 17 years now.
Love ya. Nita

How wonderful to hear from you!
You can talk to me any time you want. Hearing from old friends is exactly what I need right now. The last parts of dad's will are in the hands of my brother. Then we have to sell two cars and a house. I miss my old life. I hope your holidays are happy. Keep in touch.

Ok Henry Higgins,
Before all the hubbub starts this weekend with the epic battle between, "you-know-who" and "you-know-who," I'd just like to comment on your rendition of David being the son of Krypton in three words:
Best. Superman. Ever.

Thank you. You know what? Sometimes I look at that picture and think to myself, "Did I do that?" I especially like his face. If I were a criminal and he landed next to me, I'd say "Please don't hurt me. And my God you're good looking."

The Names Are Places I made up for my Crypto Series different Places and creatures Are different because in case someone tries to copy I can sue them, and when making these different worlds and creatures like I was saying it show different and originality that most people on deviant art do not show like look at daz studio they hardly do any more animals, dinosaurs, and even mythical creatures they concentrate on mostly on people and nothing is wrong with that but they over due it and do not show variety at all they are only doing so much on people especially on so much sexuality which can have religious and family groups looking at them they can change and they can make more money if they would just change A little stop doing so much people 3D model support and just again add more 3D Model variety and have any more questions please ask.

Just pondering. Is there any way at all to make money with 3d muscle characters? I need to make some extra money and can't figure out what to do and since I have all these stupid muscle characters there must be something I can do with them. Any ideas?

Prometheus273 In reply to GreysonFurrington [2014-04-17 18:18:36 +0000 UTC]
My first thought is to sell them as individual character morphs. You know, give them names like "Ralph, for D3, by Greyson Furrington." But I would think you'd have to create some nice images showing the full figure and a few poses and emphasize that you're selling the character morph, not the poses, not the texture, not the hair, not the props, not the set, etc. A good person to ask would be Jepe at Renderotica (Jepegraphics here at deviantArt).
Keep me posted.

Actually I already did that. I was thinking more along the lines of actual artwork. Is there a market for finished work? And have you ever done commissions?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Prometheus273 In reply to GreysonFurrington [2014-04-18 03:38:10 +0000 UTC]
I've never done commissions. When someone tells me what to do, my mind just goes blank, especially if it includes the phrase, "...and I need it by...". Series or comics are an idea, but they are a lot of work, and muscle guys appeal to a relatively small audience. Besides being a Premier artist at Renderotica, the only other money I've made off my work is granting temporary or limited rights to an image. For instance, a few of mine were in an articles about "virtual hunks" in gay magazines, and there were a few images made for events like parties at a nightclub or the opening of a bar. I guess those would fall under the category of commissions.
It's one of the reasons I don't even let myself start to think of my work as a major source of income. The stress of promoting it, and producing it....well, just the thought makes my head hurt. So many things that I've been able to do well were turned into competitive or achievement oriented things, many for the bragging rights of others. I kind of promised myself that this would be one thing I would keep fun and not try to become a "star". If it happens, fine.
What comes to mind are the large art collections like Tom Of Finland's or the regular output of things like Class Comics. Maybe you could make a collection of your best and sell it on Renderotica. Or you could make some clever G rated stuff and put it on t-shirts and stuff via CafePress or Zazzle. I have a store at CafePress. The big (if you can call it big) seller is usually the yearly calendar. But again, it's for fun because the return on the time spent producing 13 original images is pennies per hour.
