Really stupidly late thanks! Sweating a little... Haha, I actually ended up working - I've been whacked with crazy last-minute deadlines this month (hence why I've been so bad about replies.)

Totally plan to make up for it later, though. I already have a post-Birthday dinner planned with a friend who's been missing holidays too.

Really stupidly late thanks! Sweating a little... (I haven't been brilliant about time management lately, obviously...) Heh, ironically my Birthday has been sort of time-shifted to the end of the month due to a crazy deadline that's taken over my life the past few weeks... Actually a pretty cool job, just a crazy tight schedule as usual.

But when that job's done, I have all kinds of wild plans! Paintings! Doodles! Comics! Stuff! I am a dummy! (And still trying to sneak in a couple of party pictures somehow.)

Aw man, it sucks having to work on a birthday! Sad dummy I mean I still draw comics on my birthdays now that they are the typical low-key kind of birthdays but it's not work, it's stuff I like! I get so annoyed that everyone decides they need an artist last minute - and of course we all need jobs so we keep taking them so people don't consider that gosh, maybe we'd really appreciate to have an extra week to feel like human beings and not art robots. :P (Lick)

But yesss, wild plans! La la la la I'm the same, well, kind of! One of my two regular-ish jobs ended prematurely (and not because of me and I didn't lose any money, so that's good) so now I have more time (and less money in the future but honestly I was so worn out by then that I haven't started caring yet) so I hope to jump back into action (working on stuff already, just too slow).

But when it comes to party pictures I think I'll sit this one out - I had a couple of ideas but they all kind of stretch the possibility of my cast somehow attending a party this posh so I think I'll save my energy for the next one (which I assume won't be that posh though who knows) and try to get ahead with other stuff like comics and doodles and character designs! :D (Big Grin)

Heh, actually he ended up being Russian because when I was sketching character design ideas for him, I looked at my sketches and said pretty much the same thing: "boy, he looks like a cranky Russian." =D (Big Grin)

Thanks! :) (Smile) Some of my side comics and non-Wayward-Queen comics are digital inks (especially a lot of the tournament comics, since those had to be done super-fast.)

But the Wayward Queen is 100% traditional inks except for the word balloons, because I'm a total sucker for real ink on paper. It's mostly brush and ink, with a bit of technical pen and crowquill pen for some details and panels and things.

I keep meaning to put together a demo showing how I make those pages. I should do that. Sweating a little...

Next update should be up soon, scanning it now! Derp! *scrambles off to prep pages*
