Yeah, there is always pressure but you will do fine, your an amazingly talented artist ^^ So well, any reasons on why you moved to netherlands ? Just felt like you were tired of Montreal, or just wanted a fresh start or what ?

Sorry for the delay! I moved to Europe 2 years ago for family reason, then started to search for a studio in or near France with nice peop, a nice environment, and with interesting projects. These are the big lines

Dear sir, is it true you created the artwork for the six red statues and the red triangular floor pattern in the Penthouse in the game Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
Could you tell me more about them? What was your inspiration, do you have any high-resolution artwork/renders you are able to share?
The reason I ask is because, from a design perspective, the Penthouse is the best area I've ever encountered in a game. It is perfect to the slightest detail and I'd love to learn more about the thought process behind the creation of certain art and designs.

Hi SJRB,
Sorry for the late reply. To answer your question, the key things for the design of most environment on DEHR was defined in the general art direction, which was "cyber-renaissance", i.e. a mix of a specific period in the past (art), and future (art, science, architecture).
For this environment you are referring, there have been a few concept artists and 3D artists working on it, bringing in different part for architecture and props, trying to always bring out these artistic guidelines.
For the red statues, the idea was to bring triangle shape which is a reminder of the Illuminati organisation in the story, red in reference to China, and for the style, the inspiration comes mainly from contemporary and modern art sculpture, with the idea of bringing some contrast with an organic composition.
