So how did you get into cosplay anyways?

How I found out about cosplaying was I was searching youtube for videos about the book, Maximum Ride, and I found a video that *twinfools had made with a couple of his friends and his girlfriend. I was beyond confused to what they were doing and what cosplay was so that began my giant internet search about cosplaying.
What got me to actually cosplaying was my best friend, ~emmaheelys33 . I had always had a thing for costumes, went crazy at Halloween, would find reasons to have to make costumes for film projects at school. So when we decided to go to a local convention here in Vancouver, she talked me into cosplaying. And it just sort of went from there

Ever since i was little i have looked forward to any time where it gave me an excuse to dress up in a costume. Halloween happens to be my favorite holiday for that very reason. Each yeah i get more and more elaborate, for example last Halloween i spent about 250$ on making my costume.(Not including wig, makeup, contacts) xD
As for cosplaying, I got into it in the 9th grade when a group of really great friends introduced me to it. That's when i went to my first convention and fell inlove with the whole idea of it.
I've been going to conventions ever since. I think my favorite part about the conventions other than the fun of dressing up is the amazing and great people that i always seem to meet.

No, not at the moment. But I have a lot of future cosplays planned and a few costumes in the works at the moment. (: I tend to keep my DA pretty updated with my current and past costumes.
