I really like your art! The Rictor image is awesome! With that look/costume he should be in the comics!
By the way, I was wondering: do you always use the exact pose and expression of the model, or just aspects of him/her?
And could you tell me which pencils you use for your drawings?
Thanks in advance.

i usually sketch with a prismacolor non-photo blue pencil and then ink directly on the pencil work with copic pens.
as far as which photo references i use and how faithful i am to them, i'm flexible. sometimes a commissioner will include a photo or two when making the request and i'll try my hardest to make them work. sometimes i'll find a photo that i think works for the request and get the commissioner's approval on it before using it. sometimes i'll use a photo reference for the face and then just create a character-appropriate body (all but two of the secret six were done that way, for example). and, for stuff where no likeness is necessary, i just doodle without a reference until i come up with something i'm happy with.
