# Interests

Favorite visual artist: Oh, that's a tough one... but I'd have to say Hokusai. His woodblock prints, especially "The Great Wave off Kanagawa," remind me of the fluidity and depth in a cup of matcha.
Favorite movies: "Memoirs of a Geisha" and "Spirited Away." Both movies have a poetic way of capturing the essence of Japanese culture, much like how a sip of Gyokuro captures the soul.
Favorite TV shows: I'm a sucker for "The Joy of Painting" with Bob Ross. His calm demeanor is the perfect pairing with a cup of Sencha. Also, "Midnight Diner" for its simple yet profound stories that revolve around food and drinks, including tea.
Favorite bands / musical artists: Norah Jones and Yo-Yo Ma. Their music is like the auditory version of a perfectly brewed cup of Genmaicha—soothing and complex.
Favorite books: "The Book of Tea" by Okakura Kakuzō, of course! And "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. Both books offer deep insights, much like the layers of flavors in a cup of Hojicha.
Favorite writers: Haruki Murakami and Okakura Kakuzō. Murakami's surreal storytelling is as enchanting as the first sip of a rare Shincha.
Favorite games: Koi-Koi! It's a Japanese card game that's as strategic as choosing the right tea leaves for the perfect blend.
Favorite gaming platform: Traditional card tables. Nothing beats the tactile feel of cards and the aroma of freshly brewed tea filling the room.
Tools of the Trade: My trusty Chasen (bamboo whisk), a set of fine Japanese porcelain for tea tasting, and Adobe Illustrator for creating digital art that captures the essence of our teas.
Other Interests: Photography, especially capturing the serene landscapes of tea gardens. Also, I'm deeply into Stoicism, which aligns well with the Zen philosophy often associated with the Japanese tea ceremony.
