Okay I'm listening to the studio version now *just downloaded the entire bunch of the songs* (and in case someone is gonna sue me for that, shut up, I ordered the CD as well so I'm perfectly legal here )

The intro music is really nice ♥ ..the entire song is cute, actually, aww, I like it a lot but it's not very.. err how to put it, representative of the country (which it was supposed to be about) .. but oh well. It's nice ^^


Andandand they announced the running orders today and I'm a bit terrified now.. Austria + NL both got the doomed-for-last-place ranks, 2nd and 3rd..

First part is really cool though because it's really versatile _o_ 2nd part is.. okay-ish and the last one has some of the coolest ones in there (Hungary, Azerbaijan, and Greece).. So my guess with this running order would be the first five, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Greece, and.. hmm.. Russia? Finland? Idk about the last two..

Now NL does have the advantage of being the only 'loud' song in the first part.. especially between Austria's ballad and Belgium's acapella song they'll stand out a lot.. but I'm still really concerned about it being the 3rd spot (2nd and 3rd place have a tie for having the most songs-ending-up-last, both 8 times) and as for Austria.. they're off even worse than us Bosnia will probably make it because it's a decent song to open with.. *kinda hopes that people forget about the last-songs-before-the-break or tune in too late and miss the first-one-after-break* as for the last bunch I'm really afraid of them :'D Belarus probably won't make it but the others will, with Ireland being a special case because I really don't know about them.. they DO have the most convenient position available now, pff. Guess: Bosnia, Denmark, Latvia, Estonia (might be affected by the break), Romania (same but I don't think so), Israel, Sweden, Slovakia (I really don't like the song, it sounds like it's directly from the pokemon soundtrack or something. Pff. Way too cutesy and sugary for my taste.) and.. Austria because I don't think they'll want them to quit again. And then the last place will go to Ukraine/Ireland/Bulgaria..

Ehh...what can you expect...Azerbaijan has foreign writers writing it's songs...I think this year was a Swedish writer? (Might explain the lack of good songs from Sweden...)

I definitely agree that Austria and NL are probably doomed to last place due to where they stand which is going to suck...definitely...

Though Poland going first may not be a bad thing...psychologically a person normally remembers the first and last of anything with the outlier somewhere in the middle, i.e. placing the word "sex" in a list of living room furniture.

This running order should hopefully work...at least that's what I hope, and maybe NL will get lucky, hopefully the Jury will save it.

SO the TROS announced what they are going to do with ESC12
and omg it just gets better and better with every bit I read about it

This afternoon, the TROS announced their plans for Eurovision 2012. On the binnenplein (=market square) the TROS-director Peter Kuipers revealed the ideas for next years' Eurovision in a very special way.

Assisted by two 'stewardesses' he revealed a huge suitcase which will remain on the binnenplein the upcoming three months ([link] ). The TROS is inviting everyone, famous and unknown Dutch singers, to post their entry in the suitcase's mailbox. An entry can consist of only lyrics, only sheet music, only a singer, a complete and finished audio production or a combination hereof.

On Friday 30 September, 00:00, the suitcase will be closed. In October a selected group of specialists will see into the entries and decide which ones qualify for the NATIONAL SONG CONTEST 2012 OMG ♥.

In November we will announce which 6-7 acts will have qualified for the National Song Contest. Who is going to represent the Netherlands in Baku, will be decided during the National Song Contest in January 2012.

Omg I'm so excited seriously can't it be January already omg :'D like, famous AND unknown singers, as far as I'm concerned our not-famous entrants usually score better than the famous ones.. on top of that, that means they'll be open to any suggestion including the ideas that have already been up in the air (Rochelle, the girl I mentioned? well, her coach in X-Factor happens to be the great Eric van Tijn who is an amazing lyricist, he wrote both Vrede and Hemel en Aarde for ESC before, which got 6th and 4th place; they want to enter together, she sings, he writes. Then there's Waylon (I told you I believe). Sharon from WT wanted to write a song. Anouk (youtube her) would consider entering if the TROS would leave her to her own. and then there's the shitload of amazing bands we have that aren't known yet..)
and and and well national song contest omg that means we actually get a say in this.
also, fun fact, last time we had an 'open' national song contest like this was in 2004 if I remember correctly... AND WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME WE QUALIFIED? coincidence, I think not
also, that 'select group of people' that gets to pick the entries = 'record label owners, choreographers, songcontest fans, etc', ie people who KNOW what they're doing.

pfffff oh esc.tv had the entire news article translated already, FML xD and yeah same here, I mean that they're listening to the public is awesome, but their notorious ""limited budget"" might screw us over.. they said the budget was the reason the 3js got a crappy backdrop etc as well :<

but oh well we'll see.
also I'm very much tempted to enter my name into the suitcase to be a jury (since they want "esc fans" to decide on the entries) but that probably won't happen xDD I wish though hahaha. /uber dork
