Yeah, they seem to like my mom more than me. But one time when I was outside, one landed on my ankle, and I killed it, and a little bit of blood splattered on my ankle. It was weird

Yes. But its not easy for me to go on a 3 day hike in Texas. I did that once and i had dirt and leaves and sticks and dried sweat in my hair.
