Nice pixel art, I like the simplest ones, I am currently working on a side project and
those inspire me the most for what I'm going for C:

Great works you got here, wish my skills were on par with yours.

How'd you get good at animating? Is there something/someone that you like to use as reference?

It's going to sound cliched, but I've been at this for like, 7 years.  I started out editing sprites from Jump Ultimate Stars, and eventually starting working on my own stuff.  I remember early on, and still kind of to this day, looking at stuff I liked and trying to go for it.  For example, a lot of my work going back was based on Hyper Light Drifter's art style; even now, stuff like my RWBY animations utilize that simplistic but striking pixel density.  After that, I slowly started picking up stuff like key frames, squash and stretch, and smearing.  I'm still working on larger scale stuff and things like anatomy, and I use a program called DesignDoll to help me figure that out.

I haven't actually looked too in depth to it just yet, but someone pointed me towards this: www.patreon.com/saint11  It's a master explaining different aspects of pixel art that I should use to review a bit.

No problem!  I've been staring at those old Bloodborne weapons for a week now.  They're really creative.

I have not.  I may have to check that out a tiny bit.  Thanks!

It's a game where you can great your own pixel art characters and do so much more.

Love your stuff. Would love to see you do some Dungeon of the Endless stuff, like put the RWBY squad in that specific style (very similar to what you do, just bit thinner)

Reiforce In reply to iKeychain [2016-02-14 21:59:26 +0000 UTC]

I'll definitely finish Yang's animation first, but I'll take a look at that kind of style and see if it lends itself to my style well.

Hey Rei, figured I would drop by for a random comment. .3.

... Nope, nothing weirdly funny is coming to mind, guess this is just a salutation of greeting.

Reiforce In reply to Delusiah [2015-03-28 02:56:32 +0000 UTC]

And hello to you as well, then.

I'll be honest, this is my first time having someone talk to me on Deviantart.  Weird feeling.

Reiforce In reply to Delusiah [2015-03-28 21:46:18 +0000 UTC]

Yeah.  I don't really view DA as a place to talk, really.

Delusiah In reply to Reiforce [2015-03-31 00:55:12 +0000 UTC]

That probably contributes to it, then. Though with literature being some people's preferred medium for artwork, others might feel differently. I'm more of a visual person myself.

I clearly am as well.  It's different to have a conversation here, although it's pretty nice.  Something about it feels calmer.

Might be similar to a small pond compared to a frothing white-water river. Less flow, less turbulence.

Reiforce In reply to Delusiah [2015-04-06 22:07:22 +0000 UTC]

It doesn't really seem to function as a decent enough forum to warrant using it as one, especially when I assume most people who would talk to each other on the site would probably know each other.

Delusiah In reply to Reiforce [2015-04-08 14:50:38 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I know about half of the people I talk to regularly here in person. It's still fun to see how people elsewhere live and think, though. And in the case of different time zones, my job's odd hours actually make it easier to converse with people elsewhere.

Reiforce In reply to Delusiah [2015-04-08 15:58:30 +0000 UTC]

I imagined as much.  It's nearly 11 right now for me, if that's radically different...
Regardless, one of the best parts of the Internet is the ability to talk to somebody across the Country or even the world in the space of a few days.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Delusiah In reply to Reiforce [2015-04-23 23:18:26 +0000 UTC]

Or even in real time. Though the original intent was for sharing scientific research between scientists, the fact that people of all creeds, with all their varied interests can communicate with ease is wonderful.

Reiforce In reply to Delusiah [2015-04-24 01:40:25 +0000 UTC]

It's definitely an amazing thing.  "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic."

Imagine if Arthur C. Clarke told people fifty years ago that we could talk to somebody across the earth with a rectangle you speak into.

Delusiah In reply to Reiforce [2015-04-30 14:51:46 +0000 UTC]

Yup! I tend to accept strange phenomena because I think of it as unexplained science rather than magic or whatnot. x3

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Reiforce In reply to Delusiah [2015-04-30 18:57:49 +0000 UTC]

"Magic" really is just unexplained science.  Lightning used to be angry gods attack their people, but now it's just a weather phenomenon.  Everything we can't explain or create now is just an eventuality waiting to happen.

I still occasionally wonder if humanity will wipe itself out before or after all the questions of the unknown are answered. Hhmm.

Reiforce In reply to Delusiah [2015-05-01 15:48:37 +0000 UTC]

It's sad to say, but seeing as literally every single advancement we've made just so happens to kill everything other animal, including other humans, it's a matter of whether or not we discover the thing that manages to fix a decent portion of those at the same time.  Otherwise it's the cycle of find a new planet, take what's not ours and peace off unless it we find something to help or something to stop us.

Delusiah In reply to Reiforce [2015-05-07 14:39:50 +0000 UTC]

I'm still betting on self annihilation. It just might take some time, with how overpopulated we are.

Is there a way to change the name to something FE related? I honestly don't know what 'Bakuretsu Tokage' means.

A banner would also be nice, but if no one can do it, we can live without one.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Delusiah In reply to Reiforce [2013-08-31 22:16:33 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, that's just the name it had when I was using it for something else a few years ago. I can change it easily enough, and I agree on the banner. If no one else volunteers to make or help with one, I'll probably end up doing it myself. xD
