# About me

A former astronomy postgrad with a fondness for escapism.

Until I joined dA in 2010, I hadn't really drew anything since I was in school many, many years ago, other than naff and hurried doodles in lectures. I used to do image manipulation in GIMP too, did that every now and then prior to joining here. Ultimately though, I think I just like to make things...

Nowadays, when I get a chance between work/study and friends, I like to draw and paint. I find it to be massively relaxing, even when difficult, and a nice way to escape from the daily grind. I've done a mix of fanart, original stuff and some observational stuff. The latter of that is mostly because of an evening art class I've enrolled upon. I also take the odd photo...
