It's a world with talking Animals, both alive and extinct, living different regions with different languages, cultures. Even magic, science and religion are in play here.

I looked and I'm not impressed. If Wes was 7 years old it would be passable. but no. He's taken a rhino and given it extra horns and eyes. that's not exactly inventive.

That extra-eyed thing isn't a Rhino, it is a Mars Creature that looks like a Triceratops (which is not a Rhinoceros but a Dinosaur). And that pic with the Triceratops-like Creature is not from The Chronicles of Gadooa, it's a completely different project, about Mars's prehistoric past.

Focus on the actual story. The first book is about a Dodo searching for the rest of her kind. Her kind has been being killed by an evil sorcerer Monkey who sold his soul to conjur demons and that female Dodo was seperated from her home island as an egg.
The Dodo and her three friends (an Antelope, a Hummingbird and a Compy) are now embarking ona great adventure, traveling across the world in search of destiny.
