Thanks for your help! I'm trying to experiment with some dolling, and it's not the easiest to fix cruddy bases on photoshop. (there's no pixel line tool.)

I'm currently trying to create a Mew Mew sona, and was just curious about how you choose which animal traits to put on the character without cluttering it. (e.g. where in the world does a whale have Lettuce's antenna? It's creative, and you can still tell she's supposed to be an aquatic mew)

You're welcome!Photoshop is the most horrible thing to make pixel art...I use this program(if you're interested)->www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.h… (Paint.net), is a great program to make pixel art, I've being using since ever^^, is like a normal paint, but with more resources.

How can I explain it Normally, when it's a mammal, lizard or any animal that have four legs and a tail I tend to take a look at it's anatomy, for example:a mew with a rhinoceros DNA will have a tail, since it's an extension of her spine; ears because it's cool but I wouldn't add a horn because the horn of a rhinoceros is placed on it's nose, not on it's forehead, as I'v seem on lots of mewmews already.
For a mewmew with the DNA of an aquatic animal I allways try to make the clothes resembling the animal itself (the hairstyle helps too).I try not to add tails on aquatic mews, but I allways look for unique traces of the animal.Like, with a turtle, you can make sleeves that resembles it's fins, or put a pattern(or even the mew mark) on it's back that resembles it's shell.
I try to incorporate the animal traits on the clothes and on the mew body at the same time.I think that's why Lettuce remembers a dolphin, because her clothes kinda looks like a dolphin tail^^

That makes sense! (I once saw someone make a unicorn horn for a rhino mew, and it made NO sense...) I can definitely see that in some of your work, like with the one shark mew you made.
