i'm playin a party of Changeling: the dreamig right now, and i've following some RPG groups, about the new updated edition, seems pretty interesting, but i'ven seen things about changeling, only vampire and werewolf D:

They have something new called "Mockery Breeds" shapeshifters that were essentially created by Pentex.

There are a limited number of them and they are all pretty dangerous.

Pentex, jeez... i don't remember my age when a i read that book, but i'm pretty sure that i was young, and was a kinda of shock, 'cause i thought "my thor, this is sooo dark"

Later i find wraith and almost die xDDD so sad world
I'm going to search about those ones, i could use it for my changeling party hehehehehe

Pffffft, not for changelings. I sure those things -reek- of banality. Now... The -new- THALLIAN.... Those guys are interesting and scary. I bring up the mockery breeds to inspire you to draw and stuff. In case werewolves are getting stale. Cause nothing says loving like a werefrog that is singing "It's not easy being green."
To me it's like they took aspects of the new world and brought them over to the old without overwhelming everything.
Cause when they came with NEW World, you could be a were-whatever animal you want. Werehorses? Sure. Were-elephants? Go for it. Were-HUMMINGBIRDS WE GOT THOSE!!!! Seriously, it was just... too much.
ANd the point to all the werecritters? Spirits warping humans and inhabiting them to make humans suffer for drowning puppies, kittens and possioms. Oh, and hurting nature in general.

Seriously... it was too much.

Here, they've gotten five additional changers that have limited powers and are still scary sick. These being as follows:

War Wolves, Essentially werewolves with limited intelligence and forms and the first Mockery Breed to be designed. They were created primary to hound Garou (Gaian as well as over-ambitious Black Spiral Dancers)

Anurana, Were-frogs (cause -that- sounds scary, but only after think of the many species of amphibians and how they're super adaptable.) a failed attempt to form naval support. They are no longer created, but a sizable population has escaped into the wilderness

Samsa, Were-cockroaches (imagine how the Glasswalkers feel about this one. And it doesn't help that Cockroach himself approves and tends to nurture these crazy giant cockroaches that constantly hear spirit voices from the umbra.) a failed attempt to mimic the Crawlerling form of the Ananasi to create superior assassins. They are no longer created, but a population is still held captive in Pentex laboratories

Kerasi, Were-Rhinos. Nuff said. a successful project to gain holdings in the African wilderness. Many Kerasi have been released into the wilds to build their numbers naturally.

Yeren, Were-gorillas, Cause were-apes is redundant. the most promising project that produces the perfect assets for Pentex to take control of the urban environment. The Yeren build their numbers via a ritual similar to the Corax and their numbers have proven stable and even growing.

As far as Changeling went?

If you know how scary the introduced Thallan (dark fey cousins) were, well now imagine how you'd feel knowing that -Every- kith has a Thallan shadow.

Bodachs (Clurichauns)

Ghasts (Redcaps) ((Redcaps have a Thallan offshoot?! Weren't River Hags bad enough?! Now there's a version that will steal my kidneys!?))

Huaka’i po (Menehune)

Kelpies (Selkies) ((They found a way to incorporate those fetting were-horses!))
Mandragoras (Ghille Dhu)

Nasties (Satyrs)

Sevartal (Sidhe)

Skinwalkers (Nunnehi)


They even have Thallan that aren't linked to -any- of the standard kiths and are kiths unto themselves!

These creatures perpetuate all sorts of lethal legends, coercing the weak-willed into altering their courses just enough to succumb to accidents or take their own lives.

Night Hags: Ever wake up with sleep paralysis? These shadow lurkers are the cause of that. 

Lurks: Various swamp monsters, the Bigfoot, the almas, the yeti, the yowie, the tikoloshe, barmanou, and the hibagon are but a few of the legends inspired by lurks. These guys can eat anything and blend in with the natural surroundings.
