i dig your support man and so here are some pointers: ur batman charcoal drawing is what i think as ur strongest piece even though its an older submission its clean. Also, take a look at ur gallery from when u first started, there is a definative growth. i do that myself and seeing how there is clear evidence of development in your work and style over time, theres no reason to stop here. keep up the drawing! ur heading in the right direction.

I did awhile back; I whipped up the first headshot one when leaks of TDK prologue scene were coming out with I Am Legend and the other a little later as an approval caption when I was on the hype as a different user. As for the script, I'm still working on it. LOL just been so busy on and off I haven't really invested the time I need for it; I still write down notes, ideas, and such though if I can see it working. Basically I'm creating a Nolan universe Batman comic with Mr.Freeze, which will be loosely based off TAS episode Heart of Ice; it takes place in between the events of BB and TDK, and flashbacks that are a bit older.

hi man. here's something i did some time ago, any better than my other attempts? [link] one thing is sure, it's better than Rob Liefeld's drawing XD. man, i'm not even sure about that... but i have a series of trailers coming up for TDKR, only without Riddler because the character was pushed out of the film, although in our project, sure, he'd be there. also, i figured out something, maybe we can have the background for Daggett and if we will bring him back, Rupert Thorne, with the story of a mayoral campaign going on, with Thorne trying to nix the competition out of the other candidates (Daggett and maybe Major Garcia from TDK and Quincy Sharp), with Sharp being elected, so it'll:
A. if Sharp would become the mayor, the job of the Arkham warden would be left for... Hugo Strange.
B. Daggett would try to run his business more aggresively and Thorne would cut deals with Black-Mask.
just an idea, kind of a rethinking of my other idea, with Deadshot out of the picture, and Thorne presented a bit differently.
also, for a practice on a more dramatic scene, i'll try to write the scene when Bruce returns from the fight with the Mad Hatter, and Alfred questions himself if Bruce does this because he wants to punish Crime, because he feels guilty for his Parents' death or because his rage grew with the years and the Batman is just an outlet of his own fear and rage. also, i finished two better Strange manips, i'll put them up on dA shortly.

uh dude it's been announce that hugo strange is not going to be in the movie right now. Let's scap the story and work on a short story with batman based on nolanverse. The reason I am doing this is because starting a grand project like that takes time. Anyways a short story helps us ready for a big story like that in the long run. So any ideas for the story based on nolanverse?

about Strange: and what's bad about if? see it like this: if Strange works in the story and is a valuable part, that's good. now that he's not used by nolan, using him wouldn't clash with TDKR's story. same with Riddler... this is actually getting better for us. we didn't go out with the porpuse of "let's make an idea for Batman 3". we said "let's do a nolanverse story", which gives us many oppurtunities. a direct sequel, yes, but not TDKR.
and sure as hell man, i had ideas for short nolanverse stories boiling in my head since seeing TDK, i wanted to tell you some but you said we were working on this one, so here are some of them:
-a spinoff about a teenager growing in gotham and later becoming Anarky (Lonnie Machin), think Kick-Ass only darker and more serious in tone, and Anarky being more cunning than physical.
-the GPCD team of Bullock, Montoya, Essen, Cort and Gordon investigating Arkham, with Hugo being present in there.
-Batman fighting the cop-killer Prometheus
-Batman saving the leading mayoral candidate, Armand Krol, from being assasinated by Deadshot. learns that roland Daggett hired Deadshot and was gonna use Krol's death for his own campaign by framing other candidate Rupert Thorne (who actually has mob ties with Black-Mask, maybe it could be mentioned), eleminating contest
basically, we can build a continuity from any character we want, with some adapting and basically, enlarge the nolanverse.
i'm working on the TDK animated series thingy with Maggotx9, i was thinking about having a collaboration on this and having a shared continuity that can try to work wiht the films and not clash with TDKR, like using characters that were pretty much debunked, like Riddler and Hugo Strange, and characters that nolan would never use, like Prometheus, Anarky or Daggett and such. i basically really wnat ot do the Anarky one, it would be like a reverse Batman Begins, with Bruce seeing that he can do good to the city and becoming batman, and Anarky trying to show the city how wrong it is in it's ways. i'll make a trailer for each when i'll get the time.

Ok we can use anarky, but we are going to have to revamp his origin to fit in the hyper-realistic nolanverse. First he is not going to be a kid in this series. However messenge me because I want to dicuss this in private.

sure. i'll note you my full synopses for all of the ideas i had, mainly the Anarky reimagening and the Prometheus one, because i think both are very deep, psychological villains, with Anarky truly believing that he's restoring order to gotham, and picks up the name Anarky to show his idea of the irony that the GPCD (from his eyes) spread anarchy yet call themself the law, so for the irony he'd restore his perfection of order (actual anarchy) and for the irony call himself Anarky. my idea to end this story was him berating Com. Gordon after tying him to a chair on the roof of the GPCD building, having a conversation with him about law and anarchy, with batmana rriving and fighting Anarky and kicking the mask off in a point, revealing his real identity and his vivid believings that he does good and restores order. this is just a sum-up, but i'll write everything else on a note.

i did some new stuff, any improvement?[link] sorry i haven't uploaded anything for a long time, scanner was down, but also, i don't shade teh drawings because i'm doing it in photoshop, now instead of just using dodge/burn for the colors, i think i'll just try different hues in different opacities.

No I think you need to shade, you really need practice on that area.
You still got the proportions way off, but its interesting though I don't like that mad hatter's design.

well... i fixed the proportions a bit with the WACOM on the joker drawing (especially with his hideous eyes and the woman's head) and i shaded them in the coloring, it looks better than the ones i shaded with a pencill... also, mad hatter's design was made to look like he put up some really bad, makeshift hatter costume from clothes he found/been gave in the asylum breakout and wore it on his inmate clothes. both designs are for a non-nolan film, based on arkham the game and a serious house on a serious earth... so i took some liberties with them.

I saw those, and you still need to work on them. It doesn't matter if it looks good dude, if you don't understand how to draw or paint light and shadow on pencil, and then it won't be any different on photoshop. Do you get my meaning? You have to practice value, which is shadow and lighting.

ok, i'll try, but my computer F-es it up when i try to, so i do the more solid, completley black shades in pencil, and the other hues in color, but i will try. i also asked a lot of my friends about it, i shown them the real drawing (the drawn one) in school, and sended them the scanned version, and they said my scanner messes them up and sometimes even stretches them.

Well that can be your draft, but I'll have nothing do with it if it has the penquin and deadshot. I'm already done with my draft, but it seems if this comic is going to work, you have to be fully into it. Not as a side project that you come to.

the draft i started writing after seeing inception a month ago, but i took it down, but after seeing inception again, i started rewriting it from scratch. but the character interaction does work, it does presents it, so you can see how the character interaction works. but penguin is only in a small role as black mask's money launderer, deadshot is practiccly only 2 minutes in the film, but his part is essential and so on... yiu have your draft, i'll post mine and maybe we can merge them if you like it.

Truthfully I don't see the role of Deadshot and The Penquin, you already have the other characters in the story. It's only going to make the story seem crowded consider it was going to be mostly about Bruce Wayne which you have forgot about and focused more on the villians once again.

nah, the draft is just going to be really long, TDK was one long movie, and it gave place for everything, so it won't be just a lot of people in one place, it will have several subplot, the main focusing on bruce, and the other ones being:
-Roman's transformation into BM
-Ed Nashton, who replaces Coleman Reese after he escapes the country, going mad and finally becoming riddler, using the waynetech mainframe, inclusing the "sonar" system from TDK, to turn the city halfways and even shuts down electricity (he hacked into the gotham radio system in his first appearance from what i remember, so it would be appropriate to do something like it, only with the waynetech mainframe)
-Rupert thorne hiring Deadshot to kill mayor Garcia, Thorne becoming mayor and taking full control of the city, framing gordon and replacing him with a corrupt commisioner, so the anti-batman task force joins forces with batman to uncover the commish, but thorne is still in full control.
-Bruce Wayne (as a part of his story arc, which is the main one) meeting Psychiatrist Hugo Strange. Phd to talk about his problems, while Hugo hates batman, as he says in his talk show (not a Dr. Phill joke, but a way to include him)
-BM taking control of most of the city's mobs and numerous freaks, most notably mad hatter and firefly, creating the false face society in a counter act to Thorne taking control of the city and using his corrupt men and mobs who are loyal to him, with a gang fight starting
but the cameos by charracters like penguin and deadshot are very subtle, like lee bermejo's joker comic-book. the ending is actually thr brginning from bermejo's comic-book, with johnny frost getting joker out of jail.
these are practiaclly all the subplots i had in mind, but everything is pretty subtle and the main theme is still bruce's redemption.

From what you just describe, it sounds like you have three movies going on instead of one.
Why is The Riddler shutting down the electricity? I thought his main focus was to reveal what happen to Harvey and find out who is Batman?
Once again if you introduce Deadshot like that, it would be waste of time to introduce him like that. It would be like introducing Scarecrow in The Dark Knight, but he was already introduce into the story in Batman Begins.
If you think having Bruce Wayne attend therapy sessions is going to focus on him, then you just replaying what happen in Batman Forever where his therapist falls in love with Batman. You need to go waayyy more deeper than that man, read Death in a family or reread Dark Victory.
As I said before, you just focused on your inner comic geek by introducing more comic book characters so in your mind will help the story.
The only reason the dark knight introduce more characters in the story is because it was focusing more on Gotham than in Batman Begins.
You have not look any deeper to how Batman is going deal with the escalation. Adding more characters is not going to make the story any better. From what I read, it sounds like there is no main antagonist that Batman is going to deal with.
Here's a summary of my draft. the main antagonist is Black Mask and his false face society, with side characters such as The Riddler, and Hugo Strange. The Riddler is leaking out clues to what happen and Hugo Strange is helping Black Mask by releasing inmates out of Arkham secretly. Following with return of Falcone's brother taking the reigns of the mob. a war erupts with the clash of freaks and old school mob battling it out. Bruce has to find a way to battle his old demons that have risen from events of The Dark Knight by not letting his persona Batman overtake him, and stop mob war and leaking of the actions of Harvey Dent.

sorry i haven't replied so long, i actually tried to reply and had a really long reply but my PC has gone crazy and restarded 
well, i agree that him shutting down the electricity is not in place, although the idea was that it's a kind of blackmail, because hospitals need their electricity, and he disabled their backup generators too, so he'd have to make a choice between telling the truth or leaving the hospitals without help, nygma can even say he "got inspired by the joker" or something like that, but i'll write it out, i agree it sounds kinda hokey...
but the therapy meetings with strange are only 1-2 minutes each, and there would be 3 of them. there would be a big focus on wayne, withall arcs tieing into it (BM ties directly into it, riddler too, and of course gordon and the new dA (i'll use Janice Porter, but only because i want a very strong, but very cold and calculating but also corrupt woman unlike rachel), and the corruption is even deeper, as the big-shot mob boss this time is none other than maybe the biggest mob-boss in batman history (maybe even bigger than maroni and falcone), rupert thorne.
i took your tip to have only 2 mob bosses, one of them is thorne, and one black-mask. thorne, with hs corrupt men in blackgate pennintary, would get lawton out of jail and hire him to kill garcia, he does, and thorne becomes mayor. he uses penguin for money laundering, which would play later in the plot (batman squeezing thorne's name from cobbepot later in the story).
roman would be introduced in harvey's and rachel's funeral, which is the 1st scene. the movie will progress with bruce healing from TDK and roman almost going bankrupt, only bruce buys his company to save it, but janus's and waynetech's board of directors decide to fire Roman.
then the story jumps 4 years later to gordon and janice discussing batman after he beats cornelius stirk (who's in the film for something like 30 seconds with one line) and they assemble an anti-batman task force. we are then introduced to Mr. Reese's (who escaped the country before the movie) replacement, Edward Nygma, who's a genius, and an expert hacker who's expertise is money transfer, but he has a weird fixation with truth and riddles, so when he uncovers little details about batman using waynetech technology and finds the sonar system, he goes skin-deep in the case but is arrested before he can find out. Roman is now Black-mask, and he wants riddler at his ranks, so he blows up riddler's cell (only riddler's cell) and breaks him out with his men after he poisons the guard. riddler uncovers the truth about dent, and goes psychotic, now when he has nothing and all his accounts were frozen, as blakc mask says to him "now you know how it is" and we flashback to the night roman became black-mask. we are also introduced to rupert thorne, who uses the cover-up of a legitimate businessman to run his mob deals without interference. he wants control of the city and gordon off his chest, so he hires deadshot to kill mayor garcia, becomes mayor, being the main runner-up, and frames and fires gordon, leaving batman with no-one inside the police, and a corrupt commissioner, only he makes ties with Det. Renee Montoya, and squeezes evidence to Thorne's corruption from his money launderer, Oswald "Penguin" Cobblepot. Black-Mask ties all the city's mobs together to fight batman, and also unites the "freaks" left (not including killer croc from haunted knight, even i have my red lines XD), Jervis Tetch and Garfield Lynns. Tetch kidnaps gordon's niece who just visited in gotham for a brief time, and batman almost kills Tetch and deeply traumatizes him. alfred i sconcerned about wayne and sends him to a therapist called Hugo Strange, and bruce meets him, not to excited about him, only after bruce fights wih firefly and in his exsauhtion lets him fall into a pit of fire and seemingly die, bruce meets hugo again for 2 more times. Riddler sneaks into waynetech at night, and hacks again into the sonar system, this time sending batman messages through his communications, telling him he deduced his identity, and that he will tell gotham his identity of HE doesn't answers his riddles, the final one being "what happened to harvey dent". batman manages to track him and sends gordon, who got his job back after Thorne was exposed, to riddler, although gordon, like lucius fox in TDK, sees the sonar system as immoral and wants to destroys it, with batman obliging. Black-Mask kidnaps Janice Porter and almost kills her with a power drill, only batman arrives and both fight maskless at the top of sionis's mansion. sionis's thugs start burning it, seeing a chance to rule over his empire by killing him, but batman saves him, his metal mask moldeed into his face. the film ends with the truth being exposed, as riddler had a plan B and sent it with evidence to the dA's office, and the city's spirit is finally broken, only they now have a hero they need, an unlikely one, a black knight, gotham's caped crusader. as i said once, when i try to explain something, it sounds bad, but when it's in the script, it works well. i'll post part 1 of the script today. who knows, maybe i'll finish it by next month/this one...
