Hello! Just surfed by, and you've got some great stuff here. I've also seen your plushies, nice work. You say you undercharge for them. Don't feel bad, a lot of folks starting out do that because they're not sure what to charge for them. Once, when I was between jobs, I used to make custom OOAK (one-of-a-kind) dolls and stuffed animals. My wife (who's a luthier- she makes and repairs stringed instruments) gave me some advice. First you add up material costs for the item in question. Next, you keep track of how many hours it took you to make it, and finally you decide how much you'd get paid to make it if you worked for someone else. In other words, how much would you make at an hourly rate. Now at first, you might only get paid minimum wage. But later, after your skills improved, you'd get more. Now add your hours, say, 10 hours @ $8.00 an hour, plus $25.00 for material costs, plus a little profit, say around 10%. and you've got a total cost of about $120.00. Now this is just an example, of course. Your prices should match what you think you should get paid for your handiwork. You also have to add in the time it takes you to make all of the accessories or costs if you purchase them. Back when I was making OOAK dolls, one of them might take me 40 hours of hard work and sold for over $600.00. (And this was 90's-era pricing.) Even at that, I had too many orders to fill. Sometimes it's hard to tell people no, you've got too much work to get to them. Once I made a custom doll for a lady who lost her 8yo daughter to leukemia. She wanted a life-sized doll that looked just like her daughter to dress up in her clothes- to remind her of what she used to look like. My own daughter was about her girl's age at the time, so how could I say no? I made a custom armature of metal and plastic the moved just a human body, and cast a custom body in foam latex. The head and hands were of silicone and had hand-punched human hair and glass eyes. The body had lead shot inside to give it a weight of about 40lbs. After I was finished, I brought the doll over dressed in the clothes she'd furnished me and after she saw her, she started openly weeping. I thought I'd done something wrong, but she said no, she was just happy, and gladly paid me the $4,500.00 I asked for her. She asked if I wanted more, but I said no, that was plenty. (This was around 1991.) As it turned out, I should've either charged her more, or asked her to tell no one about it, as right after that I was inundated with orders for similar dolls. Since I was doing all this out of my home, I didn't have the space to do multiple orders for them. And they all had similar heart-breaking stories. And it was one of the major reasons I no longer make dolls. I suppose the reason for all of this is to say charge what you think your time and ability is worth. Folks'll understand what true craftsmenship is worth and will pay for it. Those who won't aren't worth worrying about. You'll be happier for it in the end. Take care, and be well.

Yeah! I really need to do that, because I remember I used to mod dolls for about $300 each and I would be able to profit from my work and feel well paid for spending possible days to a week.
It's gonna require some sitting down and ironing out the details. But thank you! If I up the price and get fewer buyers, thats okay because I know the people who DO buy understand and aren't the type that thing custom anything should be dirt cheap.
