kikikikiki well, Zagil is kinda a scoundrel, when they first meet... so Zagil was in it for the credits... and Corso is kinda like, "what a selfish lady..." without thinking that at the same time, cos' it's Corso we're talking about
The very last mission for Corso makes him realize that this smuggler is not the selfish person he thought she was

Oh Corso, you are the most moral mercenary soldier I have even known...Probably. Highly likely. Zavvi isn't so geared towards credits and leans more towards helping the Republic, so Corso kinda fell hook, line and sinker for her.

Though, the reason Zagil is in it for the credits is because she believes heavily in the phrase, "With enough money, you can find anyone". I'll leave you to ponder what that means for her
Though, as she did after the Mandalorian Blockade (rough draft so far, i'mma having her rob the imps ) she does happen to give her credits to good causes...sometimes.

Zavvi knows she needs credits to live and that, but being raised by a Republic trooper does instil some pretty good morals in you. You would think, anyway.

I have some training in resisting forms of mind control. Kinda par for the course when you used to have a hypnotist character. I killed her off though, because she was more trouble than she was worth.

Fair enough. I quest on my own a lot of the time, to be honest. Mostly because sometimes I get distracted and start climbing on things just to see if I can. This mostly leads to my companions standing on the floor and looking up at me forlornly, though Corso protested by getting stuck in the floor at one point, and just giving me this look of 'YOU DID THIS TO ME'.

Yeah, Zavvi gets very Dark side when she gets pissed. But it's nothing to do with the Force; she is a little bit sensitive thanks to her dad, but she's too weak to be trained. She can sense if her sister and later Corso are in danger nearby, but that's about it.
Trooper could be pretty Jedi-like, I guess...I like his voice. ^^ Jennifer Hale less so in the role, unfortunately.

Ah, other energy streams, magick and the Force aren't very much alike. Or at least, I always thought of them as the same; infusing the world and they can be channelled and used by those who can sense it. But that's other crap.
I didn't know that, no. I do know the Cathar don't like the Mandalorians due to them invading Cathar and kinda going on a killing spree. But that's about it. Akaavi doesn't like Zavvi too much, but the two get along, and she eventualy recognizes Zavvi's an okay warrior. Not the best, but she can hold her own in a fight.

I see. The closest to that I've had are amusing General chat, well, chat. There was one on Tatooine where we spend hours talking about sand and then beards. There was another one where someone got pissed and numerous swear-filled insults went around until someone shouted 'I hope you step on a lego!'
And the chat went silent for a couple of seconds and then there was a flurry of 'damn, we got a badass over here' and 'calm down dude, there's no need for talk like that!'

It was highly amusing.

Yeah they committed genocide on Cathar because the Cathar are known as strong warriors, so the Mandalorians targeted them first. It was also before the Republic really started to seriously fight the Mandalorians... so Cathar got no republic help.
Echani and Mandalorians are rivals! It's because they are both battle-centric cultures... but Echani are known for martial arts and light weaponry... feeling the heart of the battle through fighting alone. But Mandalorians have their armor and their code, and most importantly, their honor. Mandalorians use heavy weapons too. From what I understand, anyone can become Mandalorian, but Echani are actually a race...
But by Balmorra, Zagil has probably become less and less of an Echani. She was only ever half Echani, but inherited her looks from her father. But she spent four years with the Jedi, and then became a spaceship captain. While she tries to remain true to her culture, enough to be resistant to the Force and all those other goodies, it is clear that she is not the same person as she was when she was 12 years old...
I think Akaavi would dislike Zagil on sight, but Zagil would still try to help Akaavi. A simple act of kindness can reach more than you know or can see... so their relationship would be the bumpiest out of all the companions, but would eventually smooth out when they learn more about each other...

Well it's not anything more than a 'something's not right sense', like you have with your gut. Not like 'Hey, your lover/boyfriend/husband is in danger girl, go save his arse!'. Also her sister's the Barsen'thor, who has a stonking amount of Force power, so some leaked over...? The Force doesn't give a shit!
Uh, no, I think I do. SHE'S IN ALMOST EVERY FRIKKING VIDEO GAME EVER AS A FEMALE LEAD AND IT'S VERY ANNOYING. As is Nolan North, but he's only the Male Jedi Consular and not someone else as well. Also he sounds rather gay, which amuses me more than it should. Though that said I think of my female troopers as rather spunky, which Hale doesn't really convey as well as the female smuggler, who I've been around the most, so I'm very biased.
He's not Lassy, he's a cat. He'd have to be Bothan or look a little like that to be Lassy. Besides, wasn't my cup of tea after he had an entitled tantrum when my trooper promoted Elara instead of him.

Yes, Mandalorians are very easy abouting adopting children and taking them into their clans and they'll take any race that has honour into their fold too(which is why my Sith Pureblood ends up in there eventually, though you can imagine the predijuce she encounters).
Zavvi hasn't much experience with Mandalorians, but she knows they are warriors and picking a fight with them is the least intelligent thing you can do. So she's nice to Akaavi, and lets her go off on her own to do whatever she wants. Corso's almost frightened of her, unless she says something bad about Zavvi. Then he's all protective boyfriend and stands up to her. I would think.

I love it sometimes, and sometimes I hate it, especially when they get annoyed when english isn't been spoken on the general chat and they flip out and I'm all 'for goodness sake it's not that much of a big deal'.

Well Hale has to play Bastila again. She was Bastila before... and Bastila was not the lead--Revan was.
And Satele is Bastila's descendent, so that makes sense too.
And the female trooper is just an added bonus... I imagine troopers, at least the LS ones, would be very by the books. I think she did good with the trooper line...
BTW... my trooper, Kushina, is Zagil's daughter. But is almost nothing like Zagil. I guess Kushina is lucky to be 1/4 Echani? Cos' she's got the silver eyes

Carleton Lassiter is a detective on Psych. HE is my favorite character on that show. The actor who plays him (name escapes me atm) also plays Aric Jorgan.
Therefore, as soon as I recognized the voice (and it didn't take very long ) I have always called him Lassy. He will always be Lassy. Aric Jorgan is actually very similar in character to Carleton Lassiter... both enjoy weapons, are sticklers for the law, and are very confused in romance situations.
Carleton never got a girlfriend for long, and that was his quirk. So hearin that Jorgan is actually the romance interest, albeit the longest romance in the game, that made me really excited.
I promoted Lassy, because I really really loved his character.
Though i have wanted to meet someone who promoted Elara... no one else ever does
so quick question.
At the end of chapter 2... Either Lassy or Elara gets shot. My friend, Sarveshi, is a commando who promoted Lassy, and for her Lassy got shot. For Kushina, who is a vanguard, Elara got shot.
So i had to go around doing the beginning of chapter 3 without my bloody healer, which pissed me off (in the hilarious way--i could never be mad at this game for real )
But here's the thing, Sarveshi and Kushina both promoted Lassy!
So why did my Elara get shot??? is it because of our class? Sarveshi being a Commando, and Kushina being Vanguard?

Mandalorians aren't quite adopting children...some of them are slaves that are just made into Mandalorians because they're in the clan. Mira in KotOR II was actually a Mandalorian slave, who was as much Mandalorian as the rest of them...

oooh, would Zavvi know anything about Echani? Echani are more reserved than the Mandalorians. There's a good chance she may not know anything about them
I don't feel like Akaavi is the type to insult the Captain. Akaavi got on the smuggler ship because she needed a place to go after her clan was killed, right? I feel like at first Akaavi severely underestimates the smuggler and their extraordinary luck...

I don't mind her playing Satele and Bastila; she does good work with her. And I understand why she's playing the fem trooper too; a nod to Shepard and also she could pull a specfic trooper off very well...but just not the ones I create in my head, sadly. Considering my fem trooper is called Lux and is rather a prankster, the voice...it doesn't fit, and that's a shame.
My trooper is technically Zavvi and Corso's offspring too...except he's adopted, because Twi'lek + Human does not equal Zabrak!
Ohhhh...That makes infinitely more sense now.

I wouldn't know, I haven't managed to complete Chapter 2 yet (I'm on the very, very last mission for that chapter!). But don't worry, I don't remember a single thing you just said. ^^ Though if I'm missing my healer I might be a wee bit pissed because Kafek (my trooper) is a commando and he's specced Gunnery, so he heals like a pansy. And I haven't geared my tanks. FML...
Also Kafek's romantically involved with her, so you hurt his lady, he's going to break your face. With his assualt cannon Bessy. This is the same trooper who sews cushions in his spare time though.

I'm sre some Mandos do, but I'm not totally sure. I know Torian's clan was slaughtered for not doing as Mandalore told them to, but the children were spared and put into other clans (which is why Torian's still knocking about) to be raised...But I know they don't have as many reservations against adoptions others have.

Zavvi is completely ignorant of Echani; she would assume Zagil is a human. She naturally assumes a human unless she is told otherwise (unless they're clearly not, such as Miraluka. She would mistake Kiffar for humans too, though.)
I think backhanded compliments are more her style, honestly. Zavvi lets Corso get protective occasionally because at one point his protectiveness actually saved her life (in the sense she kept her freedom and wasn't sold off as a slave or worse), so she lets him get fiery once in a while. She finds it highly amusing when some guy doesn't take a polite 'no' for an answer and then gets confronted with an angry mercenary who would kindly like you to stop harassing his girlfriend thank you very much. Or he'll break your nose.
Zavvi can still kick ass if she needs to, though.

Riiiiight. That said, I have had weird stuff happen where I've walked around with an apparently shirtless Corso (it's a type of chest armour, honest) and then got into a wee fight with another smuggler who was trying to flirt with him. No, my Corso! I found him first, dangit!

That sounds like a good start. If you're not sure where to start, the best places to begin is always the beginning. It gives you the room to decide exactly what you want your character to be and how events will change her. If you've already got a good base of her though, with personality and backstory all intact, start her off from Ord Mantell and throw out backstory and her past as you go.

It's unfortunate that I can't say 'do this and you'll hit it off immediately', but there is a lot of the 'Ord Mantell' starts for the smuggler; understandable, as that's where your smuggler is introduced ingame, but if you want my opinion, start from your character's beginnings before then and lead up to Ord Mantell, unless you know a way to change that infamous starting scene to grab people's attention.

Oh, I'd love a Gault Rennow romance as well. One is his voice is excellent, and the second is his personality is witty and sarcastic enough for me to go 'you're excellent character, why are you in your 50s so I can't romance you' (yes, he's canonically in his 50s, I wish I was joking; BTW, Torian is 18, and Corso beats him by being 22).

He reminds me of a male version of Risha, and in my opinion, Risha is awesome. So yeah, write the romance if you want.

A neat little (hah, I said little...) book called the Star Wars the Old Republic Encyclopedia, which contains lots of lovely lore and info. And unfortunately class spoilers, but eh. It gives no ages to any of the player characters, and actually behaves as if no-one knows who the player character is, what sex or anything. It won't even tell you which of the great big decisions are chosen either, despite the fact of Revan the Jedi Exile's 'canon'.
