I was adopted from China, though I've lived in Amurica for almost my whole life. I'm a super anime freak. I like learning foreign languages. Maybe someday I'll become a translator or something. I like starting projects, but I usually never complete them because I get bored really easily. I was diagnosed with the auto-immune disorder "Lupus" in the fall of 2012.
I'm really bad at being interesting.

ja deutsch ist ziemlich nutzlos, wenn man nicht gerade in deutschland ist ^^ spanisch und franzoesisch sind viel weiter verbreitet

Deutsch ist trotzdem nutzlos aber, es gefällt mir. Meine Freunde hätte vorauf ich gestudieren, so selbstverständlich ich auch wollte lernen aber, jetzt wirklich gern es. Ich denk dass, Deutsch ist hochinteressant als Englisch. Well... Meine Muttersprache ist Englisch, so ich denk irgendwie hochinteressant als Englische... Darum gern ich Fremdsprache lernen lol.

zum lernen ist es super sich filme / serien in der jeweiligen sprache anzusehen mit untertiteln in der muttersprache. watching stuff in english helped me a lot to improve, although i didnt need subtitles anymore when i started doing that ^^

Yes, I actually learned Japanese in this way so I'm pretty fluent/confident (which is good because I'm studying to be a translator for this language in particular.) Any German shows you recommend in particular? This Christmas, I want a German copy of Harry Potter so I can try working my way through that, haha. Which shows did you watch in English? ^^

dont watch any german productions, its simply garbage. there are some good movies, but its very rare [lammbock, traumschiff surprise, lola rennt, are excellent ones for example]. everything (really everything!!) gets dubbed into german though in high quality, so you will find all shows / movies you like with german synchronization.
i watch all shows with original sync and since i only watch american shows and anime basically everything i watch is english or with subtitles ^^
except house, holy moly, all that medical talk ... no ... had to watch that in german

Eyy, my German class watched Lola Rennt. It was great xD And yes, I've noticed that getting German dubs are more fun to find than original German media. I just have to get more immersed

what we do have are audiobooks / audioplays though, tons of them and really good quality. this version of hitchhikers guide to the galaxy is probably the best you can find, better than the original book and the movies in my oppinion: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OjFfF… i may be a bit biased because its the first version i heard of the story, but i have been highly disappointed by all others ever since ... thats only the first part of it, there are 6
