“In Greek mythology, the Sirens were dangerous creatures, portrayed as femmes fatales who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island. Their song, though irresistibly sweet, was no less sad than sweet, and lapped both body and soul in a fatal lethargy, the forerunner of death and corruption.”
Sirens of Rose, a name to encompass both the allure and inevitable truth of artwork, was chosen by founder Mea Pearson in 2006. In her work, she hopes to capture a vision. A story of both the world and herself. A story of beauty and a story of truth. Through the compilation of both her artwork and photography, she hopes to imprison a new form of attraction—a tale of self-discovery and finding beauty in even the saddest of endings. It is not the story of the phoenix, rising from the ashes of death. It is the story before that. The story which made the ashes possible in the first place. The Sirens of Rose who, through death, created an artist.
Like a rose, artwork can be beautiful with a sting. As it lures you deeper into the tale, the attraction becomes painful. Like an eruption, it destroys everything in its path but leaves new life behind it.

You are very photogenic.
It must be difficult to both pose and shoot at the same time. Lots of trial-and-error. And really difficult to relax enough to get the right mood in the photos.

It was hard at first, when I had the D40, but now I have the D5100, so I can flip the LCD to face me. And then remote shutter! So the only tricky part is hiding the remote in the pictures, haha. x

But it works. I wouldn't have guessed from looking at the photos. You seem totally relaxed.
