very much my pleasure

that is very good that you've got onto the erasmus program and I hope that you have a very good time when you go to Germany it is amazing the amount of paperwork that is involved with these kind of things that it will hopefully all be very well worth doing
I am sorry to hear that you're having problems and I hope that that you are able to sort them out soon

I have noticed that defending things from the UK to anywhere can take an amazingly long time I send things to friends of mine in Germany Hungary Romania and Russia and if all taken months in some cases to get their so I wouldn't worry too much hopefully it will arrive

my camera you have found definitely seems to have worked out well and is giving you some interesting results I enjoyed looking at them

my world has definitely changed quite a bit and at the moment it is little bit scary but quite exciting
in the sense that all the things I've spent the last 10 years learning how to do like environmental education and environmental science are not really getting anywhere basically because there is no longer any work for environmental teachers all the money has dried up and now organisations are just using volunteers to do the jobs that you were originally got paid for
most of the people I work with have lost their jobs or are now only working a few days a week
at the moment the only type of environmental jobs that seem to exist our office management there seems to very little left outside I personally have no experience or any real interest in pushing bits of paper around the desk and attending many many meetings and doing very little for what I can understand

so I'm now moving in a very different direction I'm starting to become a semiprofessional photographer I received a couple of paid jobs in the last few months I'm also learning how to frame and mount my own photographs
strangest of all learning how to become a tattoo artist
I don't know how all of this is going to work but it feels a lot better working for myself with no office politics

take care of yourself and I hope you have a very good weekend

Thank you very much for your good wishes about my erasmus stuff, as far as I know erasmus has always been an excitement and left good memories to people hope the same for myself.

I've recently noticed that the address information I gave to the british seller was incomplete and my camera's turned back to the seller because of this. When I learned that I was really ashamed and I immidiately corrected the address and earlier today I got my camera You must have seen me when the postman appeared at the door I'm happy you enjoy my photographs I hope the new camera will give me the good results that I expect

Sorry to hear about the recent situation of environmental education and the teachers. but I think it is a good thing for you to make up your mind quickly and change your direction to somewhere you'll really enjoy spending your time and embrace as your job. and I'm happy that you were already offered a couple of jobs I'm sure you'll be one of the greatest nature photographers I strongly believe you have the real artist's eyes
And tattoo is a different thing! how did you come up with that idea? it is really interesting and I can't wait to see you progressing on all these subjects and the things you create

Take care, say hi to your pretty animals and have a good week

I'm very glad that your camera has arrived safely and I look forward to seeing what images you create with it

I'm still very much feeling my way around this new direction new career in my life
still a bit strange and it's also different to photography as a profession than as a hobby is sometimes quite hard to get what the client is looking for
the big problem for me is learning how to market myself and organise all this kind of PR stuff which I'm finding a lot harder to get my head round the the technical stuff for photography
also I'm trying to work out what exactly I'm good at and what I can sell
I'm also learning how to mount and frame my own photographs
so we'll see what happens and really happy you think that I have an artistic ability for this

It is definitely not what I was expecting to do but finding it more and more interesting at the moment I'm experimenting with different techniques and ideas I'm also playing around with various ways of designing tattoo
if things work out I'm hoping I will start work on my first real tattoo sometime at the end of next month

Take care of yourself I hope you have had a very good week
my animals are doing well at the moment

Hi am okay at the moment and my shoulder is getting better thank you but it may take a long time
although I'm really busy and I'm now trying to seriously work out how to start my own business probably something to do with photography tattooing and framing and it always just a little bit crazy
the whole learning how to market myself I am finding quite difficult
I enjoy learning new skills but I'm just not very good at marketing have a few friends who understand marketing and are helping me
one interesting thing the local photographic club has asked me to demonstrate the techniques they used to take some of my photographs which is really nice
so how are things in your world at the moment?

take care of yourself and have a very good weekend

you're most welcome I did have a really very exhausting week so I spent all the weekend sleeping and watching films although I had to do some drawings for tomorrow but it's too late now the weather here was sunny today - I was so hopeful that it'd snow here too, the mountains around my town were all snowy last week and the weather was terribly cold, according to us of course I don't know if you say that cold anyways but I was just disappointed now the temperature rose a bit and the sun shone again :/ so still jealous of your waist-level snow!

keep yourself warm as well as your animals, do not make the kittens mad and have a good week!

it is always good to have a relaxing weekend after an exhausting week

I know what you mean about being too late to do some work I should have done some work on my thesis today as well I have been playing with kittens instead

it doesn't normally snow here as much as it has or as long unfortunately is starting to cause problems here because the country isn't really used to it. a lot of the airports and roads are closed. it's still incredibly beautiful it is just a shame that we are not prepared in Ireland -13° weather and I'm very thankful that I don't have to travel at the moment but I can enjoy photographing and chasing dogs

I will definitely try and the animals are keep themselves nice and warm I have so many cats in bed at night I can hardly move it is lovely and warm

take every self and have a good week and a beautiful weekend

Oh now I see your weather situation as well :/ so you're lucky that you don't have to use transportation right now hope the weather will get normal soon then

I can picture you and the cats in the bed it is something unbearable to me actually I don't like cats around me moving and wagging their tails but sharing a bed with them must be undeniably warm

Take care and have a good weekend!

that the weather has now improved travelling so I will be able to get into work
that has to be said that the country looks much prettier under the snow at the moment everything is incredibly wet from the melting snow and it is very grey and measurable

it is very warm and it cuts down on the central heating bills wonderfully and this group of cats are very still in doubt like little warm pebbles

take care of yourself and I hope you had a good weekend and that you have a good week

Sister--Misery In reply to wolfhound-in-nature [2010-12-30 17:44:13 +0000 UTC]

Happy that you're able to get to work now yes, snow has such an effect that everything looks magical and beautiful under it except for the melting part Snow is something that I'll always miss anyways.

About how many of them do you use to get warm at nights? and isn't it a problem to deal with the hair of so many cats falling off into the house? My mom's biggest concern about having a pet in the house is absolutely this topic I always say that one dog is quite managable even for our house - there are nice indoor types I know but she cannot be convinced

Take care and hope you'll have a good week&weekend afterwards

wolfhound-in-nature In reply to Sister--Misery [2011-01-01 18:29:42 +0000 UTC]

definitely the only time snow looks ugly is when it has nothing especially on roads were turned to horrible grey colour unfortunately this year the snow disappeared almost overnight. to be honest I hope that there will be more snow even though it may interrupt me getting to work it is just so beautiful photograph

it depends very much on the weather at the moment I'm using about three but when it was cold a few weeks ago it was definitely cat six Whether

it can be a little bit of a problem but it depends very much on the cat the fluffier the cat or hair they shed, my black cats produced very little hair. also I have hard floors throughout the house so it is easy to clean up and Black Cats are very convenient if like me and wear a lot of black because the hairs don't show up
as I have 17 cats they don't produce as much as you might think most of it comes from the dogs so one or two cats you'd hardly notice the hair

I have had so far a nice weekend and I hope that you have a good weekend and that you had a good New Year ( did you go to any celebrations in years?)

Hey Ian, how are you? It's been a long long time since the last time I wrote to you but I had sooo many things to do. Actually I can say that the new year celebration was the last thing I did with pleasure - after then just a nightmare I had my final jury review yesterday and the submission the day before so I've worked on it for 9 days I even had to stay at school for a couple of days to study even harder and denser, then I returned home and made a huge mess of sheets of papers and pencils and many other things there I've spread all over the house and almost gone crazy because of the whole thing. But now it's all over and my more "normal" submissions and exams have begun and I'm really very happy about it.
Hope you're doing good take care and hope to hearing from you soon!

Hi how are things in your world?
I am more or less okay
but my back is still giving me problems and I have to sit cross-legged on the floor because the only way I find comfortable but I'm starting get used to and it feels terribly Zen

I am glad to hear that you have finished the final submission review and that you finish the work are now feeling back to normal I hope that you will get good marks how long before you receive your marks for the submission

I know the feeling about going crazy advent of the final three weeks of my dissertation or my Masters degree and despite all of last year's colourful planning is all going a little bit crazy and it is amazing the things I will find it to rather than work on it I think very soon I'll have to tie myself to my desk until I'm finished

I hope that you had a lovely weekend and that you have a good week

take care and I look forward to hearing from you

Hi, my world's just turned to normal now I've only got 2 or 3 submissions and then my school break begins but I'm attending a course of one of the computer aided drawing programs called archiCAD it started a week ago and lasts for a couple of weeks so the weekends of my break is full already but it's ok. better then its happening at schooltime then it would be a more exhausting situation.

What is your back's problem! (angry here) not a surprise it feels terribly Zen plus it is one of the positions I'm not comfortable if I sit like that for a while my legs start to tingle so I have to stand up immidiately and walk around like a mad person.

Marking for the final submission is going to be like one total mark for the whole semester as we've got the news today. So we'll only see it on the transcript - one or one and a half week later. Due to some disagreements in the studio during the final review and some of the fellows' not submitting their final work on time (there were about 6-7 of them throughout the 18-people-attending-studio almost half of us) the instructors got truly pissed so what will be the reflection on our marks we'll wait and see.

Tying yourself to the desk is absolutely perfect solution maybe I can try it here too for myself

Any changes about the pets by the way? have a good weekend all of you, take care

Hi

Good to hear your world has returned to normal what is it like using the CAD program I had a few experiences with them I've always found them slightly confusing
but I think this was because I was left to work with them on my own and no one really told me how they work
but I definitely think that there will be a useful program to master

It's all connected to the problem of having with my neck and shoulder as well it's amazing how these problems can spread
so totally having to rethink a lot of things
cross-legged is deftly not the most comfortable position in the world but I am now getting used to it and I am able to sit for about an hour before I have to get up and move around like a crazy person

It is kind of scary when the mood of the instructor hands a huge influence on what marks you get especially when it such an important submission so wish you the best of luck and hope that the instructors is in a better mood when they marked your submission
I know the feeling my thesis will be representation of the last three years of work I was getting quite nerve wracking I've only to 15 days left and I wonder where the last three years have disappeared to

It's definitely worth a try but you do tend to fall over when you tried to stand up

At the moment all the animals are well except that the little grey kittens have stopped growing which means they will always be tiny and cute but it makes me a little bit nervous about letting them out into the big wide world
take care and I hope you having a lovely weekend

Hi
It's been a long time since I wrote to you I noticed, my semester break has begun -been two weeks spent already, what a pity- and I've been spending all my time with sleeping, but more trying to watch all the films&series I got The CAD course ended yesterday so now I know all the basic parts of the program, of course I'll be better when I use it in my projects. As you say CAD programs are a little confusing but when someone tell you how to control, then it's ok you can use it efficiently without much effort. AutoCAD is easier actually but it's totally linear and you have to draw every single line to make a complete project and it is pointless in a way to use its 3d facilities - they're quite dissatisfying. That's why for us archiCAD is more efficient as it has tools like wall, slab, column, window, door, etc. so you can build up a structure really very easily and see it in 3d at the same time.

Do you continue sitting cross legged or are you better now? hope you're fine

"The grade wars" between the instructors and us have ended badly. I got a bad grade for my design studio but it's irritating that I don't want to talk about it even to tell anyone I closed that case completely, only looking forward to seeing what is going to happen next semester.

How's your thesis representation going did you tie yourself somewhere to complete it? hope you're doing fine and everything's alright and hope you found the last three years.

Sorry about those tiny grey kittens, hopefully they'll be able to learn how to deal with the wild world

Take care, Ian!

Hi

It is amazing how fast holiday time disappears

That is good that you understand the use of CAD programs I must be very nice to see your projects come together in 3-D as you create your project is under designs at times very useful being able to add features like doors and windows without having to draw them yourself

I am still sitting cross-legged most of the time but I am getting quite used to it although it would be nice to be able to collapse into a chair once in a while
although I am feeling a lot better hopefully a few more months of being careful and it should be back to normal

It's definitely a good idea in this situation just to move on to start doing of the things and moving on to different projects

My thesis is now complete and I can tie myself from the table
I've submitted to my tutor on Monday and it was a really good feeling
but it is kind of strange because I been working on this for the last three years I'm not quite sure what to do with the time it I keep feeling I should be working on my research
it's been a very interesting three years and has disappeared is scarily fast

It is kind of worrying them being so tiny letting them out into the big wide world their mother is a very sensible little And hopefully they will learn from her

Take care and I hope that you have of very good weekend
