I've done some still lifes of course, and the occasional life drawing when I'm out in public waiting for someone, but normally I draw everything straight from my head.

I have so much stuff in my head to draw out, why draw from life and put all the other stuff on hold, you know?

However every now and then when I'm out in public someone will pass by or sit nearby that just catches my interest and I'll draw them for a bit uwu

Great! Yeah that's pretty good you can do them from memory really impressive :D (Big Grin) Hmm I know the feeling lots of ideas... but I take a while as well myself to draw, but last Life Drawing sessions I had were awesome. I've been so busy with doing book covers this year been unreal!

Maybe you can ask a friend/some one you know to model for you? :3 I used to ask friends if they wanted a portrait doing if they were down/stressed usually cheered them up hah. Best thing if you are stuck in a 'block' or artblock phase just do a bit of observational drawing can be anything and you will get out if it :-) (Smile) Cheers!

Usually if I get art block, it isn't about being out of ideas, it's just being unmotivated to draw, you know? I get depressed and don't really want to do anything but sleep.

I've had my friends model for me before, my friend Connie actually is a model, but she poses for me for free because we're really close [plus i draw things free for her all the time haha]

But most of the time, like I said, I just make poses and figures up in my head, I have a pretty firm grasp on anatomy, so I don't really need refs to get it right.

Hey, if you're really into midevil books and stuff, try out one of the Dragon Codex books (I would start with Red Dragon Codex, since that was the first book made). They are really good ;) (Wink)
