Do your gpigs squeal and snort a lot? 
I ended up telling my facebook friends that I have canceled my trip to Japan, although I haven't. If all goes well, we will be in Japan 4/2. Lying to them will stop the griping, and then when I go to Japan, I will no longer go on Facebook or check my emails. I will simply upload my pictures to my computer, and check the Japan-Guide forums.
However, I did tell my close family the truth, as they are supportive people.
Maybe this is a solution to you?

Sorry about the blog mishap! I tried it finally and saw that it doesn't allow comments at all lol. Anyways I found a template and just replaced it for now. It allows comments now... XD Geez all this time I thought people just weren't interested haha

Well I ended up going and had a great time. My companion was direly afraid when we felt our first tremory aftershock from the 7.4 off the coast of Sendai. You do feel it for about a minute in Tokyo. But after that it became old hat. We mostly felt it the last few days before we left. Some were just barest of shaking that we were almost thinking we couldn't feel at all. What's wonderful about Tokyo is that life goes on. People talk a bit animatedly, check the news, and then go about life as usual. Even the trains do not stop for every tremor that happens. We had no transport problem, except the last day we had 2-3 tremors. The closed down the Nippori station Keisei to the airport, so we had to go to Tokyo and take the train there. I always give myself a ridiculous amount of time to get places so we got to the airport with no problem.

Yah gpigs squeal a lot and purr a lot lol. Yah I miss Hoshi.. It's weird only having 2 girls now.. Hoshi was so lively too... I will miss her so much!
Well let me know how it goes!! o.o I totally enjoyed my trip and glad I didn't cancel. I loved Takaosan. And people were really great. I didn't feel like people were depressed, but that they were determined to help Sendai. There were even students standing around for collections!
I didn't really tell anyone except a few close peeps. ^^
So my blog should be fixed! I'm finally getting to writing down my experiences haha
