It's all just planning really. Look at a cosplay you want to do? Is it hard? Set a realistic goal for getting it done and the harder you think it will be, allot more time for doing so. Look around the net and see how other people have done the same cosplay. Talk to people in the community and ask their opinion. I never would have made it this far without the help of others and I'm still learning with each new costume I make.
