# About me
I'm a 24 year old male currently living all over New England (the northeast quadrant of the United States). When I'm attending college, I am living in Boston, Massachusetts; when I am at my internship, I am living in New Haven, Vermont; and when I do neither of those things, I return home to Mid-Coast Maine.I come from a small town of about 2800 people, where everybody knows everyone else in the county. The good news about living in a small town is that everyone looks out for one another and the bad news is that if you did something wrong, everyone else will know about it. Even if you don't know what you're up to, someone else does.
I attended and graduated from Georges Valley High School on June 7, 2007 with a graduating class of about 70 students. In fall of 2007, I attended Southern Maine Community College in South Portland, Maine, where I studied Architectural and Engineering Design and graduated in May of 2009 with my Associates of Applied Science. I am currently attending Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston to study Architecture there for 4 years and earn Bachelor of Science in Architecture :) I am currently a senior.
I am a pretty geeky person, not as in the comic book and video game stereotypical geek, but as in the I know a lot of random stuff for no good particular reason and I love to solve puzzles type of geek, which of course probably makes me a dorky person as well. As long as we can all laugh at each other and ourselves, then we're doing good, right?
I hate liars thus why I'm not a particular fan of politics.
I base my life off of two principles: I treat people the way I want to be treated and all relationships (family, coworkers, employer, friends, love ones) are governed by the number one rule of "consistant honest communication". I truly and full heartedly believe in these ethics.
Music is a primary part of my life. At a very young age I learned how to play the violin. It was the start of my somewhat musical career. In 5th grade, I picked up the clarinet in the middle school band and continued to play it till my senior year of high school. Around 7th grade I learned how to play the upright bass; 10th grade I learned how to play the tuba and trumpet; and in my senior year of high school, I added the bass and cello voices of steel drums to my musical instrument selection. To this day, I continue to play the steel drums in a band called Steelin' Thunder, based out of Rockland, Maine. We play all over the mid-coast region of Maine and turn over most of our profits towards music scholarships to surrounding community high school graduates.
Furthermore in music, I have participated in about 9 musicals ranging from "The King and I" to "Fiddler on the Roof" to "The Music Man". For many of those musicals, I was the stage manager, although I did hold a secondary lead role in "Singing in the Rain". In 2008, a buddy and I started our own DJing company in mid-coast Maine called Wallex Entertainment. It was a small scale successful business with a focus on quality in sound and lights. That too eventually came to an end in the fall of 2011. Lastly, in 2009, I started up my own radio show based on the top music of the 2000s on my college's radio station called WIRE, Wentworth's Internet Radio Experience. I eventually was elected as the organization's treasurer and secretary and have helped to rebuild the station through listenership, leadership, and excellence better than it has ever been (kudos to all the other board members who helped rebuild it with me, we have done an amazing job).
I really love to sail; there is nothing like getting out into the water and cruising in the bay. I race a 41' Concordia Yawl every summer in the Eggemoggin Reach Regatta in Maine's Penobscot Bay. I have in the past raced 420s/Lasers, Etchels, J24s, and JYs/Optis. I have also sailed sunfish but they really suck.
I have advanced to Boy Scouting's highest possible rank of Eagle Scout. And now I am the Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 215.
Like I previously mentioned, I enjoy solving puzzles and Rubik's Cubes are no exceptions!
I like to play Scrabble, Chess, Apples to Apples, and practically any card games. And for you calculator geeks, Puzzle Frenzy, Block Dude, and Dino Puzzle. Pecs is just not for me. Sorry Pecs fans.
I am a train geek; I like to fix things; I enjoy restoration of houses; I love bridges; I collect lights; I collect antiques; I rarely dress up; the simple things in life amuse me; I like to read scientific articles; I love the ocean; mechanical things interest me; I love females without make up; I'm all for political incorrectness; the sound of rain; mowing the lawn into random patterns; and many many other things.
I'm crazy.
