# About me
My Name is Philip Rice, a 28-year-old artist residing in Toronto, Canada. I studied at the Ontario College of Art and Design, or OCAD University as it's now called.My work generally consists of either figure and portrait work, or an exploration of one of my Aspergian obsessions. I love memes, in the original sense of the word - an idea or unit of information that changes and evolves as it passes through our cultural landscape. A lot of my series involve taking one specific idea and exploring its past and all the permutations its taken. This is especially prevalent in my Vampire Series - which looks at every vampire story published before 1923 - and my Alien Series - in which I seek to document the beliefs of UFOlogists and alleged abductees and contactees of aliens (beliefs I don't share, but find fascinating).
I also use this account to post fanart, sketches I particularly like, and concept art for future works.
