I would love to help, BUT i cant. Im sorry to say. Im flooded with university work. I dont have that much time for myself these days. And if i do get time i just wnat to relax and be lazy. I had to stop on two other games i was working on with another 2 groups of people because of this. Im really sorry.

i love those tribal looking things. Thats all i used to do when i was bored in high school. I dont think i have any of my books or folders from then anymore. If I remeber correctly I think me and my friends burt most of our stuff as a celebration of finishing.

yeah drawing all the time was the only good way to pass time. I didnt really care for highschool, but i still got awesome marks for some reason. Plus i didnt need any end of year exam results to get into the course i did. Though i still got good results. I really do not know why. I didnt even try. lol

Oooh. I wish I knew how to 3d. I'm trying to get a multimedia/graphic design degree, but the only multimedia classes I've had so far only teach the very, very basics. "3d" was one day of google sketchup. Animation was just tweening in flash.

so far i have a multimedia certificate and advanced diploma. I had a year off this year. But next year im going to do a graphics design diploma. I just rembered i have my interview in two days. I got to tell my boss so I can have the day off. woops.

Whoa, nice... I'm on the 10-year graduation plan for my degree (/sigh). I've changed majors twice already, and I'm hoping I'll actually stick with multimedia, because it combines three of my loves: technology, art, and writing.
Sure, I tend to look at peoples folios a lot, cause I know I should really start putting one together now if I ever want a job in the field.

Woow 10 years! Thats heaps long. It better be worth it in the end, you dont really want to waist all that time. I hope you get something good out of this. The graphic design course im going to do is 2 years and you have to do some 'work experience' at a company. So Im hoping i can land a job through this course. Originally I want in the games industry but its really hard to get into over here. Nobody is willing to higher juniors. They say they higher x amount a year. But we've been told by people in the companies themself that they havnt been recently.

It's only long because I can only afford to take so many classes at a time. I've been applying everywhere to get a job so I can pay for more classes (though I'd probably end up with less/equal cause I need to work?), with so such luck.
You'd be great in a game industry, or anywhere you ended up working. All in all, I'd kill to work for a video game company myself (like Blizzard!), but I have no work experience in graphic design or even art, and not even a degree.

Well if thats what you gotta do in life, you might as well do it. I couldnt study that long. You would be like 30ish by the time you finish. By that time I hope to have a job i love, a house and hopfully a family.
Thanks for the vote in convedance only if the those companies saw the same potential. And its really not what kind of papers you got in this sort of industry. If your good at something, they will take you. If you dont mind me asking, what kind of job you want to land when all of your study is complete?

Any job, to be completly honest and truthful.
But ideally, I'd love to be involved in some sort of character generation/design type of job for a video game... cause that involves all the things I love to do: art, writing, and design.

So a conceptual artist. Thats cool. Thats what i first wanted to do aswel. But im kind of now more into 3d animation. I would love to be apart of the design team too, but that involves writing up documents. I hate writing, i just like making up stuff. If you stick to it you probably would get there. You would probably have a better chance than me because you are a female. I know that sounds a little wierd but in the games industry they would higher any female over a male. And i am not BSing. One of my female friends landed a games job and no offence to her but i am better. She even agrees. Dont get me wrong she is good. Plus the game studios in america would have more oppotunities than here.

Its not exactly losing a job its just a little harder. Like if I was ubour awesome I would get a job. And its hard to be ubour awesome when your learning curve duls because you are self teaching yourself.
They would love to have girls into games because it is a predominantly a male thing. So the more girls that are intrusted in the industry, the better. Thats why females are more likely to get a job over a male. Bring some feminizum into the equation.
See i live around melbourne and thats where most of the companies in australia are. At least I have that easier oppotunity.

I doubt that anybody would turn into a lawsuit. Its a topic that nobody speeks of. And nobody really cares about.
Yeah self teaching sucks because if you go wrong somewhere its hard to find out why. You learn mega times faster when u have a job.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been... horribly horribly sick. Passing out, bones aching, sore throat--all that jazz.
I've known some people who didn't start off self taught--they drew like children in their first art class in highschool, and by their senior year were painting masterpieces. I hate to say it, but it really makes my jealousy rise and my blood boil to see people like that. It's so awful, but I really hate how it comes so naturally to people. I hate seeing people ten years younger than me pushing off amazing works of art... bleh. I'm so bad like that... at least I don't say it to their face. I have more control than that, especially since the majority of them are really sweet and nice and don't deserve any kind of animosity.
Yea, I've hit an art block too, which is just gonna kill me, especially since I have a multimedia project due next week, and I don't have ANY frames drawn. At least it only has to be 40 seconds long... and the intro title is 15 seconds, and the credits haven't been created yet. /sigh
Sadly, when my art block hits, my writing en energy goes through the roof, but I haven't been acting on it.
I'm sure you'll work through your art block soon, you've got so much talent it's bound to bubble out.
