I am sure this has been asked before but what do you do for coloring your manga? Do you get a fully pen drawing, scan it and color in photoshop, or do you shade ahead of time and then color over that?

I just read your interview on sunkenrock.com. It was a great interview with some really good answers! The first time i saw your artwork i fell in love with it. YOu draw your men looking bad ass and cool and your women sexy but they can also kick some butt too! Your story telling is also very compelling.You're in my opinion one of the best artist out there so keep up the good work.

Boichi, might I ask for your thoughts on the untimely passing of Robin Williams? Did you have a favorite movie with him?

I heard one of young Korean manga creator’s death, day before Robin Williams is passed away.
He send his works to every publishers but they refused with horrble insult to him.
And after he challenge to webtoon manga artist but it also not going well.
He choose to leave this world by him self…
I had conversations with my friends about this sorrowful story and let out anger to this cruel world and system.
Day after I heard the another sorrowful news about one of greatist Actor Robin Williams is passed away.
I hope every creators and artist are happy.
Robin Williams gives us so much of overflowing joy , hope and happiness but we couldn’t help him anything.
That is really make me felt sorry for him.
I hope it would never happen again.
And I love his movies from 80’s.
Rest in peace Robin Williams

Yes, as you can see Kim Ban-Phuong is based Thai action movie star Tony Jaa.
I don't have favorite action movies and actors. I just like all kind action movies.
Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are great action movie stars and I also like to watching their moves.
Bruce Willis’s ‘Die Hard 1’ is just amazing! I’m still in a state of shoke that movie shown to me.
I love these movies and I study their style and techniques for drawing manga when I was teen.
Yun-Fat Chow and John Woo’s movies gave lot of effect to me.
Specially ‘A Better Tomorrow 1 and 2’ influence to ‘Sun-Ken Rock’.
I love 007 series and Mission Imposible series, too. I always wait their new work for every summer.
‘Crunching Tiger, Hidden Dreagon’ is fantastic. I think it is the one of masterpiece that shows to us how matial arts movie can become a most beautiful artform!
‘Kitano Takeshi’s movies is very stylish and I like live action version ‘Rurouni Kenshi’, too.
I watched Korean noir film ‘A bittersweet Life’ many times for draw ‘Sun-Ken Rock’.
That movie gave lot of inspiration to me. Korean actor ‘Byung-hun Lee(known as Shadow Storm in G.I Joe)’ is in that movie as an portagonist. He is not an action movie star, but he can show restrained performance in movies.
If you ask me a question about “What are the most favorite action movies and actors you like?” to
“What are most greatest action movies and actor you think?” then I can unfalteringly tell you,
“Bruce Lee and his movies!"
He is the greatest action film actor and star in the history!
If you agree me about it then we are the brotherhood of Bruce Lee!

And yeah i agree the greatest action/martial art movie actor was Bruce Lee !! Not only that but he was an great person too, with an great philosphy about martial arts and Life in general. I really like Donnie yen too, his movies like Ip Man and Flashpoint were amazing.

A1. My dairy life is like this. I wake up 8 o'clock in the morning. start to work and fishished 1 page of each titles I working on now.
And take a shower and have some breakfast. After breakfast go back to work and start to work again. normaly I can fishised 1 page before 3 o'clock afternoon. If I'm good mood then I can finished 2 more pages before evening.^^
afther those work I have to train my staffs in extra time. These are my dairy time scheduel.
And Manga Editors are all nice and good people. But if I have chance to draw tham on my manga then I want to draw them as fXXking aXXhole! Just like other anime and manga!
A2.Well, Sun-Ken Rock had some offerings about Anime and live acition movie. The live action plan was kinda serious going one. But
There is too much risks to making it. casting, film location, cost money...and etc..
Anime plans was publisher suggest to me it is to early to make it one.
So for now I don't have any planning for anime by my works.
A3. I'm married.^^ This year december is 14th anniversary. So I planning to make her surprise! HeHe^^

Yes, My Top favouriate mangas are Sirou Masamune Sensei's 'AppleSeed' and 'Orion', Masakazu katsura Sensei's 'Video Girl Ai' and Takehiko Inoue sensei's 'Vegabond'.
But I have more favouriat manga titles I can't ranking on them.
Because they are not juse favourite mangas I love to read. They are more like teachers for me.
'Rokudenashi Blue's,'Ghost in the shell', 'Berserk', 'Gantz', 'Akira','Soten Koro(Beyond the heavens)' thoese are great mangs!
Favourite Korean mangas are 'Labihem Police(First shojou manga that I read when i was teenager)' and 'Robot King(It is a very classic super mecha manga in Korea. Kinda like 'Mazinga Z' in Japan.)
I also love to read gourmet manga very much. such as 'Oisinbo', 'Aiji Ichi Monme' and 'Cooking papa'.
Those manga titles are teach me a lot.
'Rokodenashi Blues' teaches me how to draw impact actions in manga and the way of mangaka.
'Apple seed' and 'Orion' show me the way of SF and Fantasy manga.
'Vidoe girl Ai' teaches me how to draw pretty Bishojo characters, drawing style and how beautiful form that buttocks(Oshiri)are!^^
'Vegabond' is just amazing manga that shows me how manga can be greatist!
'Akira' teaches me how created the scenes and layout.
'Boyond the heavens' is teaches me what is the ancient hero characters can do in the epic drama story.
'Aiji Ichi monm'e shows me how to live in Japan as mangaka.
They are all my great teachers!

I know you probably get asked this all the time, but will SKR ever get an anime! The one thing I loved about the beginning of SKR has to be how grounded it was ( streets of korea). Keeping the main character in real settings that are drawn with great detail.
