I'm horrible about responding to messages, but since I'm now starting to upload my work to deviantart, I'm trying to reform my ways.

I'm a theatre director who also dabbles in scenic design, and I absolutely love your sets!

[I haven't gotten any photos of mine up on my page yet (I have to track them down on my multiple drives...and rephoto some models...), but they'll be there eventually.]

The (long) short intro to me as a director

I'm currently directing The Wizard of Oz (RSC Version) at my old high school. I'm volunteering my time for a year teaching theatre afterschool to any kids interested and helping revive the drama club that was active when I was there.

So...I'm pretty much doing *all* the design work, with the exception of lights. Splitting Headache!

Overall, I really enjoy directing either thought provoking shows, or presenting "crowd favorites" in a thought provoking manner. By that I mean, for example, with Wizard, the actors and I are focusing on the psychology of the characters and their relationships. Which, for a kooky musical, are pretty deep. So, there isn't really a "villain" in our minds. Everyone (including Dorothy) is seen as "shades of gray."

Which is really a stretch for these kids, but they fell in love with the concept, so its going great. This will probably be my first show to be posted.
