I wanted to reply to a reply you sent me but I cannot find it now.Β I can't remember whether it was on one of our profiles or on a journal entry.Β I wanted to say that I appreciated and agreed with everything you said after Adrian passed away, particularly about our strengthening friendships in DA as a legacy for him.Β I really could not have expressed it better myself.Β I'm sure I did not delete your message and I don't know what happened.Β Anyway this is how I feel.

No worries, it was a journal entry I posted in late Oct. I deleted it because every time I logged into my da profile page, I saw it...and it was hard, having another reminder of just how much loss. I am very glad that my words meant something to you. He would have wanted his death to bring about something positive.

I know how much he meant to many people and to you in particular so I really do understand why you did that.Β I realize that you were very close.Β DA, and helped especially by you, were the reason he kept going.Β I tried to do my bit too in notes.Β For me, it has helped me to ignore minor, unimportant things and value people that bit more.Β If you read my profile, you will see how much the White Admiral meant to me.Β It is difficult to describe.Β Adrian knew how I felt about them.Β He also had at least two photos of this very special creature.Β

Thank you. I would like to think I was special to him, but truth be told, he had a lot of special friends and I am glad for that. I guess the deletion of the journal entry was also because I wanted to celebrate his life and works instead of being reminded of only his passing and loss. I hope he knew how much he meant to us.

It's the least I can do. Though photography is enjoyable, most people do not realize how much hard work and endurance, patience and dedication go into getting magnificent shots. Not to mention the time and finances for something that is...for most of us...a hobby (does not pay the bills). While most of us do it for our own pleasure; it really makes all the rough patches worthwhile when others derive pleasure from our efforts as well. I find the mere ability to capture one second in time (sometimes, tenth of seconds) and immortalize it 'forever" a immensely powerful gift. Supporting those that make the effort to share the beauty of the world all around us is the least I can do when such gifts are shared freely.

Taken me some time to get to your gallery which has been a big mistake on my part. You have many beautiful and stunning images in your gallery and folders, on many different subjects. You have a sharp eye for detail and you do not seem to rush your photo's you take time and compose you photo's.
