We are a fan group for an online game known as The Endless Forest, a game by Tale of Tales. It is an artistic online roleplay game (MMORPG), much like a moving painting and has a large deviantART/artistic fan base. The player plays as a deer and meets other deer in endless surroundings.# Comments

Oh, I really wanted to post my picture with Koanluq, but it feels like I can't contribute for the gallery. Is it because you still need a mod or something like that? If I have to wait then I understand the problem, it takes quite a lot of work to administrate a group.

This group felt quite empty, so I understand that people want to revive the community of TEF from this site with a new group. Maybe they will allow some crossovers, too. (I mean that because I imagined some situations where some characters visit the forest and turn into these mysterious human faced deer, so it would be fun to make pictures related with that and interacting with the native cervine beings)

Ive recently tried to log into the game just to see if its still up and running and im not sure if its just my computer or if the network is permanently down? Whenever I click on the tab for network to log in it flickers from connected to error and it doesnt give me an option to log in. I also tried to log into both of my accounts to get into the community and they both are marked as an inactive username which is sad because one of mine is very old that I have played off and on for years and the other one I made barely a year ago. When I try to make a new account it says theres something wrong with the network or it just doesnt go through at all when I click register. I can understand to see the game go as it is over ten years old but this game has extreme nostalgia value for me and it would suck if it shut down

Hmm I'm not entirely sure. This group is fan made, so, unfortunately, we don't have the fix you're looking for.
HOWEVER, I recommend you email M&A and see if they can help you.
As far as I know, the game is still up and running. (I don't play it anymore myself). And I also know that they are still working on The Endless Forest: Second Decade.

I just realised that it is my firefox browser. I have trouble downloading anything with it :I I downloaded it with Google Chrome instead and it worked perfectly

Hello.
I am a huge fan of deer and I would love to play this game, but unfortunately I am on a Mac. Is there any chance I could get a version that Mac supports? Any help would be great, thanks <3

You might be able to use Bootcamp or Parallels. Its basically a virtual machine on your Mac. I had Windows XP Parallels on my Macbook years ago. You could probably get a version for Windows 8 or 10. You could probably consult the forums to talk to M&A and ask what you could do, I'm not 100% sure this would work 
But people on the Community might. Ask there too

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say good-bye before I left the group. I understood my drawings weren't as professional as others, and might be a bit too....childish? I tried my best, but for now I will plan to leave. I thought the scanner would work, but I feel very insecure about my artwork. I'll try to improve my skills so I'm not "staining" the good look for the group. My decision hasn't been made yet, so let me know if you could give some helpful tips. Sorry for the long comment! :3Β

I don't know if someone asked you to leave or something, but you should't feel unwelcomed because your drawing skills are less developed than others. We are all here to live and learn. Art takes practice, so keep drawing and improving!

Sorry it took so long for me to answer, I was sort of hoping one of the admins who had been here longer could tend to you, but it seems everyone has been busy after the holidays!
To be honest, I see no reason why you couldn't join the group, even if you didn't play. We don't require you to play the game, but it does make it easier for us to figure out if submissions are TEF related.Β
With that said, I also don't see why you couldn't make your own TEF character without actually playing. Just know that the symbols used over the heads of the deer are unique, so if you wanted a TEF character, maybe instead of having a symbol or making up your own or registering a legitimate one, just put a gold orb above the characters head. It just helps us determine if the art is TEF related, as I said above.

That's what the Community Site is for. Some of the players (but not all) frequent that site to talk to each other, post art and writing, create biographies for characters they've created for TEF, and there's even a map of the Forest that shows who is online in the game (though it is a little buggy at times).

Well, a lot of people do use Skype. They might list Contact Info on their blog so others can get in touch with them. I do the same myself.
And there is a new forum to replace the one they shut down. I just unfortunately don't have the url handy for it since I haven't been on the forum since the old one.

One more question XD
So, around the forest you hear all these calls from the other deer. You can easily tell a fawn's call from an adult's call, yet I have noticed something strange. There are a few different stag calls....There is the normal "moo", but then there is also this other weird one that I just can't describe...How do you change your deer's call?
