Team Ian!!!! I love Ian, he's so sweet and loving. I love the way he tells Wanderer that she is beautiful no matter what body she'd come in. I also love the body Wanderer went into, Pets. Pet is so pretty. I'm also a HUGE fan pf the Host.

I love The Host! I would exchange my life to be a smallish blond soul living in a cave any day! *.* (Twinkle Twinkle) If this book was real... I would be soooo happy. I won't care as much about my races extinction O.O

I just LOVE/ADORE this book! It's literally my 20th time reading it and I never get tired of it. Although I have a question to all of you.. I saw that they were going to make a Movie of it :s I looked at the casts... And was disappointed by the Actress who's gonna play Mel. (Saorsi Ronan) ... I want to hear your opinions. (And for the rest of the Casts....)

I don't think Jake Abel (or whatever his name is) is the right guy to be Ian. I saw Percy Jackson, and in that he was the evil power-seeking guy. Soooo not Ian.

I think that Jake Abel played Ian very well. Also you know he played an evil character in Percy Jackson, but I knew he could play a sweet and loving character like Ian in The Host...... Jake Abel is so hot!! I fell in love with him in the movies '' I am number four, Percy Jackson, and now The Host.'' I can't remember which character he played in I am number four.... But who cares he's still awesome!!!!

You do know it's acting right? Just because Jake Abel portrayed an evil character in one film, doesn't mean he can't portray someone like Ian, besides Ian starts off as a little antagonistic anyways. I was a bit reserved about him playing Ian too at first, but now I'm all for it.

can I ask an honest question?
I just finished the book, so I looked up picture and this group was on the side, so I thought I'd ask fans of it, how, just how do you like this? I mean it took me 3 days to finish!! And the writing was awful it was so squished, and I actually want to know how this could appeal to anyone? Because, at least I can sort of see why someone would like twilight but this was ridiculous.

Right okay, so in my opinion this book is 1000000000000 x better than Twilight. The Characters are awesome and you can see character growth and change in relationships. And it gives people a lot to think about, like loving someone regardless of what they are.

I really appreciated this book because, unlike the Twilight Saga, it doesn't talk about things we already heard about (ex. Werewolves, Vampires, Shape-shifters, etc etc.), it talks about "Aliens" in General. (Sure, I've always been a fan of "outta-space" thingies). In my opinion, Stephenie Meyer's imagination about all of those... "Planets" was just Amazing. Those were things I've never even thought about, nor heard about. It was "unique".
Sure, her writing isn't like that of Shakespeare, but just to remind you, we're in the 21th century.
To finish with my reply, DO NOT INSULT THE BOOK.

In my opinion, Twilight was too fake. To ...creeper-esk. The Host was easier to read for me and I liked it much better. The writing isn't amazing. Her writing isn't. But the thoughts and characters can really caputure people. But sadly enough, not people like you. So sorry for ur loss.

Twilight was too fake, I agree completely with that and Bella annoyed me so much in New Moon but I think that was just Stephenie going over the top with her constant moaning. In The Host her ideas are brilliant.

YES ! And you can.. Somehow, PICTURE yourself with the caracters or AS the caracters... While with Twilight and the Vampires thingy, it was kinda harder. But still, I liked both, although I did prefer The host (by 42093482084029384903489284028402984 much)

I can understand that, but its not a loss, it is a fact, it creates in depth opinions and opens your mind a little, because I wasn't dying about the book, but the ending held my interest, plus it makes for a good english assignment.
