I read Archipelago a good half a decade ago and I just wanted you to know that I still think about it a lot. Especially Book 6 Page 52, because it's such a vibrant and cool page, but I also have moments where other parts come up in my daily life. I thought of the "You have what I want, and I have what you need" line today, and how cool and satisfying it arc is, which just goes to show what a big impact it's had on me. Thanks for making it!

So...Super late to the party, but I only just found Archipelago on Smackjeeves today. Five hours later, I am six books deep, I love all these precious dorks, I am gross sobbing over them, and I have no regrets.

Seriously, I read a lot of books and webcomics, but few have managed to capture me like Archipelago did. It grabbed me and didn't let go, and it probably won't for a long time, even though I finished reading it.
I plowed through the whole webcomic over the course of today and yesterday, but it feels like I've known it for so much longer. Is that a weird comment? It feels like a weird comment.
But yeah. Few stories get me so fully immersed in the world and the characters, that it feels like it has its own brand of magic.
I would write a long, in-depth review if I could, but I gotta take some time to recuperate and let everything sink in.
It's already apparent that this comic has become an absolute favorite of mine, no question.

A few years back on your tumblr you'd post requested stories featuring some sort of connection of situation between Arch characters. Are these to be considered canon or just fun
one shot things? I know some of them aren't canon, like the "Hero" one between Raven and Knull, but like, what about the ones that aren't obviously non-canon, are they canon?

I don't consider anything absolutely canon unless it's in the comic itself but if something doesn't contradict the comic it's certainly a possible
canon. Sorry to give such an unsatisfactory answer. Was there a particular Archipelago one-shot you had in mind when you asked this question?

Well there were a couple I think but the ones that are on my mind currently are that one where young Credenza broke Vanesse's nose, and the one that implies Yulalia and Knull have met through dreams.

The one with Credenza and Vanesse was probably canon. I think the idea of Yula and Knull communicating through
dreams is REALLY COOL but I don't know if I'll do anything with that yet so for now I'll say that's not canon.
