What's Canada like? I used to talk with a few Canadians but I never learned much about it. It might be nice to know about my neighbor upstairs. Mind tellin' me a bit?

There's a lot to say. Actually it's kind of ironic... personally, I find Canada to be a beautiful place. I really like it here. Despite the fact that I live close to the biggest city in Canada, it's not hard to drive a few minutes to enter some nice country.
In Ontario, the north is rocky and very labyrinth like, while southern and eastern Ontario is very flat, as it rests on clay and bedrock. Where I live, the soil is very rich which is perfect for things that grow. My region, specifically, is one of the best areas for farming in the world.
Along with the people that live here, our wildlife is also diverse. It doesn't take much to see a wild deer in the forest, or to catch a whale off one of the coasts of Canada. I haven't had the priviledge to explore everywhere in Canada... but I have a general idea of how it's like. Saskatchawan is flat, while the west is rocky and mountanous. Alberta recieves warm weather, even in the winter due to the mountains in the west. Our summers here in Ontario is just like the summers in Northern United States.
The north, believe it or not, is rich in uranium. The second biggest manufacturer of uranium in the world is in Alberta, but most of the excavation is done in the arctic. Usually the U.S mines on our soil and sells it back to us... it's kind of funny... just like our lumber.
I've been up north near Hudson's Bay, if you're lucky, in the spring you can see a few polar bears... but thanks to global warming, more and more are dying off. Our east coast sees a lot of water action. There's always sail boats in the lake in the summer and theres great cottage country here. Further east, near Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, there are lots of fish to catch! New Brunswick is, officially, the only completely bi-lingual province in Canada. Quebec has lovely hilly/mountainous trails and roadways.
If I lived anywhere else... I'd want to see Canada. I'm truly lucky to be living here, and as much as a few of my friends complain about how dull, sometimes, it is here... it's truly a beautiful place to live.
And for a low population of only 32 million, 80% of which live 100km north of the U.S border, we've managed to maintain a strong economy.
I just hope that the beauty of this country lasts when I decide to have children.
I hope that clears up the whole igloo rumor .

Ooo. I'll have to go visit Canada sometime then, take a little tour through the place.I actually was considering a college up in Canada for a little while but disregarded it because I couldn't get any specific information from them about curriculi, majors, and things of the like.
And every place in the world is boring to the ones that live there. It's all relative, really. Or maybe it isn't, I just like saying that.
I got told by my Canuck buddy that Quebec French is really weird. Is that true?
Also...how often do you say 'eh'? I've gotta know.

universities up here, in terms of majors and minors are difficult because you choose them in second year. if you called any of the universities up here they would tell you how the major, minor system worked.
Quebec french is a different french than france french. Your friend is right.
I don't say eh too often, but it's on my list of occasional words to use.

Oooh, you guys are weird, then, huh? I think I'll stick with what I know, though I'm having another whole set of problems with our system down here. I'm sure painful stuff will follow me everywhere, so I might as well get used to it.
Your list of occasional words to use? What is that, a mental list of words where, if you haven't said one quite enough, you toss it in your speech, just to check the box and continue on?
...That's amusing.
Do you know how difficult it is to type over a cat?

I really couldn't tell you. I think it's the straight nose, haha. I have the bad habit of leaving all my messages until i finally decide to go through them a month later... I should take a screeny one time of all the notifications I get.
Your gallery is wonderful, by the way.

ahah well couldn't tell aswell. People are weird *shrug*.
Maybe the nose, and the chin, who knows.
See, we have -at least- that common habit, that is "late is better than never".
Your gallery rocks too.
