I know what you mean, but I've noticed that you spell it right too. ^_^

A couple days ago my 11 year-old niece told me that it's hard to write in school because she has to spell words correctly like 'back' instead of 'bak' lol

I kind of like to use proper (English) spelling. It's not mother tongue, but I do write in it. Better to keep it up everywhere so I don't slip where it counts

Yeah I know what you mean, if I misspell words on the internet, I start misspelling words in real life too. You type so well that I never would've guessed that English isn't your first language, what is?

My native language is Dutch.
Though I must say I haven't really been studying English since I joined a PbP roleplaying site just over two years ago. No one told me the differences between 'then' and 'than', 'who' and 'whom' and 'save' and 'safe' back in school. And school is eons ago, too.

Oh wow, Dutch is cool. Schools aren't the best in teaching languages apparently, because some people I know whose first language is English still don't know the difference between 'then' and 'than', 'who' and 'whom', and so on.

Oh, I know. But I think people who's language English is actually their first language, also get a bit lazy with it. *smiles* Not everyone, of course, but I do see it quite a bit.

I do agree that people who's first language is English do get lazy with it, lol and maybe I'm weird, but I do think Dutch is cool, although sometimes when I hear it I get it confused with German. :/

It's only logical you sometimes confuse them ; they have the same language-root. *smiles*
I like Latin languages better, but I have no head for them. I can enjoy how they sound, though.

haha I guess that's why I sometimes get them confused. I like some Latin languages, but some of them (particularly French) annoys me sometimes, I don't know why.
