As if you’ve been there.
The thing is, I am a spicy thot. And I’ve already been to the fiery pit. My life was drenched in substance abuse, emotional manipulation, petty thievery, and rampant sexism. One night in Pittsburgh, I overdosed on black tar heroin, sprawled on my motel room bed. The last thing I remember was inhaling my last, shallow breath, my nose smashed into the vomit that had pooled on the old box spring mattress. The sheets smelled like hot dog water and mothballs.
After the mildly unpleasant experience of choking to death in my own vomit, I awoke to the frantic dancing flames of brimstone that extended into the distance for as far as my eyes could see.
A lesser woman might have thought she was dreaming.
I knew I was in hell.
The damned souls above me were suspended from meat hooks, the chains of which continued on into the volcanic ceiling above, vanishing into the flames before its origin could be seen. My fellow souls were screeching, moaning, gnashing their teeth, wailing like tortured children-
I scowled.
It was obnoxious.
There was a path ahead of me, paved with more brimstone, and at the end, a massive arched sculpture loomed overhead. I headed for it.
As I approached, hands stretched out from the flames beside me, smoking and withered. Once, a face became visible, and they begged me. Pull me out. Help me.
“Fuck off,” I said, and stomped a hole in the ashy hand with the spike of my blood-red heels.
As I reached its base, I realized that the arch was constructed of people, gaunt and dry like smoked meat gone bad. They croaked as I passed beneath the arch they made up. “Original,” I said, and rolled my eyes.
Satan was before me now, seated upon a throne of bones and brick. He smiled, and the tongues of flame surrounding us leapt desperately into the air, and yet the landscape seemed to grow darker despite the blazing red light.
“What a wicked soul,” Satan said, putting his wretched hands together on his knees. “So wicked.” He smiled again.
I sauntered forward, slowly. The heat grew. My eyebrows twizzled and burnt away. I raised what was left of my eyebrows suggestively.
Satan paused, and I moved closer. My eyelids dropped. A put a hand on his leathery knee.
He smiled again. A different smile. Lecherous.
Planting one heel firmly on his throne, I pushed myself upwards, raised my other foot, and slammed the metal-tipped heel spike directly into Satan’s rather average-sized bulge.
He squealed.
Now it was my turn to smile.
I leaned in closer, putting all of my weight on my foot. I trailed one finger from the tip of his horn down to the base, then put my lips close to his pointed ear.
“Send me back,” I purred, and the devil chuckled with a wince.
“Not a chance in hell,” He said, and my blood boiled at his gay little pun.
I lifted up my other foot and slowly lowered it beside the first. Deeper. Deeper.
The Devil croaked, his eyes turning teary. I looked him in the eyes and bounced a bit on my feet.
His pain was visible, and great.
I trailed my fingers down his other horn, then to his ears. I latched on to them and pulled as hard as I could, moving closer to send a penetrating stare deep into the blood red eyes of Satan himself.
“Listen, bitch,” I hissed, and bounced again on my heels, harder this time. “The motel staff is gonna come across my corpse pretty soon. I’ve got two hundred dollars worth of black tar up in my motel room, and I’m not going to let it go to waste on some fucking gutter skank of a maid, so you better get me back up to the surface and that Nissan Maxima that’s got my name written all over it before I grab one of these lovely meat hooks and see if your little pitchfork here can hold your weight.”
Satan gave a pained smirk. “You think you’ve won? You’re an insect. You’re nothing. Look into my eyes, and feel your soul burn.”
He stared into my eyes.
And stared.
A full minute passed, and fear began to creep upon the Devil’s eyes. I gave a sickly sweet smile and pouted. “Aw, your little failsafe didn’t work. How unfortunate.”
“This is impossible. My gaze can cause the souls of even the strongest men alive to crumble into ash. How?” He hissed, and that sickly sweet smile turned vicious and sharp-toothed.
“I don’t have a soul,” I whispered.
Fear was pouring into his eyes now.
“Who’s the master now?” I asked, and as I dug my fingernails into the soft flesh of his temples, I laughed. “Surface. Now.”
And the Devil obeyed.
I am the only being to ever dig her heels into Satan’s nutsack and claw her way out of hell.
I am not just a thot.
I am a spicy thot.
