# About me
I have lurked on deviantART for years, researching art to use as costuming references. I am also an avid fan and collector of art. Currently, I'm also the co-director for the JordanCon Art Show, along with Paul Bielaczyc of Aradani Studios (or ~kalessaradan , as he's known around these parts). He's the Rand to my Cadsuane. :-)JordanCon is a fantasy literature convention founded in honor of the late author, Robert Jordan, who was the author of the best-selling, Hugo-nomiated Wheel of Time series. JordanCon features seven tracks of simultaneous programming, an Art Show, a Dealers Hall, and charity events benefiting the Mayo Clinic and other worthwhile charities. Past guests have included Harriet McDougal, Brandon Sanderson, Mary Robinette Kowal, Sam Weber, David Wong, Jana G. Oliver, Emilie Bush, David B. Coe, Eugie Foster, Seanan McGuire, Michael Whelan, Larry Elmore, Saladin Ahmed, Todd Lockwood, Catherine Asaro, John Picacio, Patrick Rothfuss, Charles E. Gannon, and Stephen Hickman.
JordanCon 10: "SeanCon 2: The Return" will be held April 20-22, 2018. at the Crown Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta, GA. Once again we will have an Art Show featuring fantastic art from a variety of fantasy and sci-fi artists - including our Artist Guest of Honor, Stephanie Law - as well as an impressive list of programming. In addition to Stephanie Law, our Author Guest of Honor is Jason Denzel, author of the novel "Mystic Dragon" and founder of Dragonmount.
We'd love to add you (and your art) to our list of attending artists. For more information on Jordancon, just click the link below or send me a message! You'll find all the details around the Art Show in the Art Show section of the top navigation bar.

Thanks for the fave and the kind comments for Graendal! You know, WOT and JordanCon have pushed me into carving out more time between work and the kids to do art again, and I'm really excited about it. I have so many things started now... a Nynaeve piece, a Snow Queen piece, a Blue Fairy piece and concepts for Cinderella and Galadriel. Normally these would take me years to finish, but because of the deadline of looming JordanCon, I'll at least have Nynaeve done in a month...and I'm getting into a routine of spending the time at the drawing table now, so hopefully I can finish all those others this year and keep going. I really owe you thanks for the encouragement on my fanart for WOT, which really got me moving again!!

Cadsuane Sedai... writing on both of our profiles so I'm sure to catch you...
tried to get a panel for JordanCon... but there seem to be only options for bays, and I don't have enough fan art for that. Also put a request for info on the JordanCon website but didn't hear back yet... hopefully my email isn't reading it as spam. I haven't purchased my ticket to the convention yet, but I doubted that was the problem since there are options for non-attending artists. I know you said that there might be more panels later... thanks for the help!! Edsel

She does. Though many people despise her, I kinda get her. And it's fun to see the polarizing effect of this costume on random Wheel of Time fans. lol

Thanks! I agree about Helen Mirrien.
Re: Perrin, I really love different approaches to well-loved characters and that one was something I'd never seen anyone do before. A very original idea. In fact, it got me thinking how much fun it would be to do crossover costumes of Wheel of Time characters as superheroes.

They probably could be 'in another age'.That's one of the things I love about WOT is trying to recognize all the other myths and religions that are referenced. One minute with Rand and its Superman or Luke Skywalker and the next it's Jesus.

You know, I've never been... keep thinking I should. When is it this year? I've been to book signings in Atlanta, but never JordanCon. I'm trying to hurry myself up and finish and post a piece I'm doing on Selene.

Looking forward to that piece.
JordanCon is Apr. 20-22 this year, at the Roswell Doubletree Hotel, and next year it's Apr. 19-21 at the same location. You really should consider going - SO much fun. But the registration fee is about to go up, so do it in the next few hours (before April 1st) if you are interested and save yourself a few bucks. It's not terribly expensive, even after that, though. You can find out the details here:

Sadly I'll miss this year, but for a happy reason. One of my daughters made regionals in gymnastics, and even RJ has to take a back seat to that!! LOL

That's entirely fair - but think about it for next year for sure. You're an artist, so no doubt also an art fan, and you won't want to miss it (but I can't give out any other hints just yet). It'll be worth it.
