# About me
This is me. Jason Ryan Kelly. Here is a little about what I do.FILMMAKER
As a filmmaker, I have yet to recieve the oppertunity to work for a company as a DP. I mainly DP my own projects. Being a DP for my own films, such as the likes of Clint Eastwood, Mel Gibson, and various other artists, is a great way to get the visuals you were searching to focus on without the hopes of having someone else capture what you've merely explained to them.
ACTOR
I have been in a multitude of filmed projects, from independent to MTV television shows. I have also done theatrical work, which was my last occupation of the last four (4) years, consisting of portraying characters, recreating fictional and non-fictional events, entertaining and interacting with thousands of people/customers a year. A lot of emotion and reality has to be portray from an actor, and I have harnessed the attributes and abilities to portray what needs to be seen in a plethora of situations. I am non-union and would like to stay that way, atleast until I need to get my cards.
WRITER
My writing experiences have been well defined through practice, criticism, trial and error for the better half of my life. I have written well over thirty (30) feature films and short films spanning the genres. The written poetry and song lyrics I create are usually dark, heavy and deep, chalked full of similies and imagery. I try my best to bring the reader or listener into my world of the rythmic dancing tongue, as very few of my writings are blunt and directly to the point. I dislike it when something becomes too understandable to the fact you get it right away instead of making it so the reader or listener has to visualize and create their own happenings and images in order to understand, creating a better sense of what they've witnessed. It makes for better understand of what has become.
MUSICIAN
I am a guitarist, and have been for the past fifteen (15) years. I can play most genres of music, from blues and country to alternative rock and death metal. I refuse to cover someone elses music. I don't feel that it is right, and it is a waste of time when you could be making up your own. So, that's what I do. I make up my own tracks. My other skills vary with other musical insturments. I can pick up an insturment and play it, making a beat or track, but I do not understand the inner workings and chord structures as well as I do with the guitar.
VOCALIST
For the past five (5) years I have been practicing and working on adding vocals to my music tracks and films. I have a decent range as an alto, but bass is what can be performed the best. I have had no formal education on being a vocalist. It is just something to do in order to better my range as a musician. I have also been a voice over in a few projects thoughout the years. None of which have made it to the silver screen as of yet.
PHOTOGRAPHER
With my Nikon D80, I love to go around and take an emense amount of photographs of different things. There isn't really a genre I have stuck to in this field as of yet. I am into everything photography has to offer. The one thing I do have to work on, like in all the rest of my chosen fields of occupation is to be slightly less of a perfectionist. It is really hard keeping good photos when I analyze everything, finding one small detail wrong with it, then trashing it.
MODEL
I do some modeling for photographers in the area that are interested in my look, style and talent. I have done everything from hand modeling and abstract art to artistic nudes and pornographic images. Some of my work has been posted here on this profile page to give an accurate account in what types of work I do.
STUNTMAN
I have done well over five thousand (5000) professional stunt falls over the years of my acting career. Everything from down staircases, off buildings, to kneels and flat falls. Fifty (50) semi and full body burns. Rope/wire rigging and swinging. Stunt fights consisting of hand to hand combat, bladed weapons, prop guns, staffs and other types of weapons.
AUDIO/VIDEO EDITOR
I am currently trying my luck as a audio/video editor. It is turning out to be a really fun task to perform. Yet another objective to master in order to become a one stop shop for filmmaking and audio technology.
SCORE ARTIST
I have the knowledge, ability, software and hardware to score films/music videos/compact discs in which I use to score all my projects with original soundtracks from my stock pile of music.
FOLLEY ARTIST
Creating a sound from a piece of material in a sound booth to match what sound is supposed to be portrayed on a film or compact disc is truly a work of art. The art is dying out with the computer and technology age, but it is always a good, cheap way to create sound bytes for your projects when you are on a tight budget. I have done this on several occasions when I am unable to access my sound library.
EFFECTS ARTIST
Squibs, blood, artifical limbs, prostetics, etc. I can do most of everything in the field of an effects artist. Given the right idea, I can come up with what ever you would desire to have on your set when it comes to effects. It may not always be the best, easiest, most expensive way to get what you want, but it will work and be able to get the job done time and time again.
LIGHTING EFFECTS ARTIST
I have recently been reading up on the different styles and tempatures in lighting scenes and backgrounds, so I am some what new at this endevor. It is a very complicated, yet extremely important part of a production. I do not have my own lighting system, but I can suggest certain types of lighting pertaining to scene by size, look, and budget. Setting the lights up and maintaining them however, is a little hard and I don't have the knowledge as of yet.
BARTENDER/MIXOLOGIST
I have the ability and up to date certification cards and documentation to work everything from local bars and restaurants to top notch night clubs and casinos. Recieved training at ABC Bartending School, completing all courses and tests. I have the knowledge of 250 top drinks currently being served in Las Vegas and have the drive, knowledge, personality and attitude to bring customers into an establishment and keep them coming back for more fun and entertainment.
