Happy birthday! May it be a good one. Even if it looks like my last comment was also a birthday wish. XD

Id just like to add they complained the comics didn't have your signature in them, so they couldn't reach you to give you credit

Well, any plans now that league is over?
Overall, it was a nice DnD comic and I appreciated the journey.

:3 awww thanks, I'm scaling my creative stuff back a bit, right now I'm running two D&D campaigns and two webcomics, and work just bumped up my hours. plus I still play magic a ton. so I'm thinking in a couple months when one of both of my campaigns finish I'll look into starting something new. since, while it was a hell of a lot of work, it was a really rewarding & enriching creative expirience
it means a lot to hear that someone out there enjoyed my work :3 thanks

Good luck in your campaigns and webcomics. Continue to make stuff if you have time, and I'll be ready for whatever comes from you.

Say, you play DnD, right?(Who am I kidding? I read your comics on your site) I wonder, what's your thoughts on Pathfinder? I don't know but I heard there's a sort of rivalry between them?

TobiasVyseri In reply to Nedleh [2013-12-20 17:42:24 +0000 UTC]
in all honesty, I'm not a rules set person, some people strongly adhere themselves to x or y rules set and act like it's some kind of biblical scripture, and violently defend it if someone else even suggests that there's a better system out there. I believe at it's core you play role playing games to ahem, role play ie: pretend to be other people/elves/dwarves whatever, the strong point of these pen & paper & dice games is the ultimate freedom they offer, not the complex rules shenanigans. I've played both, and run most of my games in pathfinder, though I lean towards more social oriented games, with something I like to refer to as "choose your own combat", so the really meticulous heavy rules of D&D don't appeal to me as much as the lighter (and in my opinion) more efficient pathfinder rules set. and then even better than that I believe is World of Darkness.
but I'm rambling, in short, if you want to play a magic: the gathering style, combat oriented more regimented DM vs. the players, video game type tabletop, go for 3.5
if you want to focus more on a creative, story oriented, social cooperative tabletop, run pathfinder or one of the myriad of other more rules light systems

Ah, I see. The reason I asked that question is that my friends and I are making a PF campaign and it's the first time I'm doing such a thing. I know it's a modified DnD game but seeing that it's more cooperative and story-oriented, I think I will enjoy it. You say DnD is more rules heavy and more combat oriented? And what is World of Darkness(I mean what kind of rpg feeling does it offer)?
Yes, I also think that the essential rpg rule is to enjoy being another character and to do whatever you want. It combines imagination, creativity and interaction to people. Thatβs why I joined in with some friends in pathfinder.
To conclude, umm thank you taking your time to answer my questions. I like to engage in conversations with other people and you enlightened me in the complex yet interesting world of board & dice rpgs.
