Eh, well, I've been thinking about it. Like I said, I haven't deleted anything from my gallery, but I'm really beginning to feel like there's little to nothing for me to do on here.
I only ever have about two people who comment on my stuff--and even that's not always guaranteed, and usually every time the conversations are the same. Honestly everytime I post something, it's just another futile effort to get attention, I guess.

Don't get downhearted - I know how you feel, but instead of letting it affect you negatively you need to turn it into motivation to keep going. And after all, two is better than none, and that number can only get bigger.

It's hard to feel motivated when you've stayed at the same two/three for the three going on four years that I've been here.

Then all I can say is, get out there more. If people won't come to you, don't sit around waiting for them - submit your art to a dozen different groups, post it in as many places as possible, and post as often as you can.Β
I'm sorry that my advice is probably useless and falling on deaf ears, but there's not much else I can do to help.

But at the same time, I feel like promoting it in any way also comes across as... Desperate, I guess would be the best word. I mean, I wanted to try the groups thing, but my problem is that I never feel like what I make is good enough to be worthy of attention.

That's the golden rule though; nobody else is going to promote your work for you. Nobody will know it exists if you don't go round showing it to as many people as possible. There are very few dA groups that actually filter the stuff that gets submitted in terms of quality, and I'm pretty sure your work is of the standard to get through anyway. At least give it a try? You never know, it could make a huge difference.Β

I think art-wise I've just been depressed in a lot of ways. Like, lately I've had a lot of stressful things happen lately and usually it's just me playing mind games with myself, but the fears and anxieties are still real. I'm pretty sure I'm being melodramatic for no relevant reason.
