# About me
Eugene Apter was born in Melbourne, growing up in St Kilda before moving to Brisbane at the age of nine. From a young age he had an interest in all things mechanical, and dismantling random pieces of machinery and electronic devices was a favourite pastime. Much of his youth was spent dabbling with various arts and crafts, progressing from sewing and leatherwork to woodwork and welding before settling on the constructed metal style that typifies much of his work.
Shortly after relocating back home to St Kilda in 2000, the stockpile of steel and fasteners found their calling. The construction has always been driven by his adoration for cleanly machined metal parts and his desire to utilise materials otherwise destined for landfill.
The sculptures are constructed with various types of found/recycled metal obtained from computers, photocopiers, typewriters, sewing machines, and other such machinery. All parts are used in their original form with no physical alteration, secured with stainless steel fasteners only through existing connection points.

Believe it or not I never played with Meccano until a friend gave me one of his old sets after he'd seen my stuff, I'd grown up completely on Lego.

I haven't had as much time to build lately as I'd like so the idea of spreading a few out over time is somewhat appealing.

Yes. If you dump your images now you get an interest now. But then your work is lost to the back catologs. Pace it a bit more so that people who just browes without searching might stumble across your stuff.
Try 2 a week or something on different days.
It's all good up to you that's just my thoughts
