Ahhh yeah I didnt know it existed until the movie was advertised! Well I read the book over the summer and it was a good sequel. But it doesnt follow The Shining from 1980 it follows the 1997 version

yeah it came out in 2013. Funny thing is the movie Doctor Sleep is gonna be based on the 1980 The Shining and the original The Shining book too, but they are totally different endings
