It really doesn't look traced. At first I could see some simularites between the neck and chin, but upon close inspection, the line-work is different. The neck in the "traced" piece is much thicker at the top than in Sarcs piece. The traced piece has a more sharp curve than Sarcs piece where the neck connects to the shoulder. The eyebrows in the traced piece are quite different (it was so different it was the first thing I noticed) The eyebrows in the traced piece have softer curves compared to the straight angles in Sarcs piece. The mouths are also quite different. The traced piece has a more open mouth (showing teeth, tongue, ect.) while the mouth is more closed and puckered in Sarcs piece. There are plenty more differences but I don't want this comment to become a novel. While I was aware Sarc/Blue used to trace, I saw that those pieces were taken down. Do I think this piece is traced? No, while the pose is similar, the two stand on their own stylistically and anatomically.Β
Am I a fan/whiteknight of Sarc? No. I didn't even know about her until I stumbled upon some journals on her. I'm just formulating an opinion based on what I see.

She also stole the style belonging to ToxicSoul77 . I recommend you look at that since it's more obvious and since these are newer, it's obvious she still does. Also look at this to help you spot art tracing:Β
ArtTalk: Signs of Traced Art(Had to postpone this one due to some electrical and AC issues at my crib so just pretend this was posted forever ago)
So traced art is pretty prevalent...
But what's not often discussed is how to recognize it when you see it. How is it that some people can just look and know? I'm gonna give you a few of the signs that personally tip me off to traced artwork.
Disclaimer!
None of these signs can "condemn" anyone without a shadow of a doubt, only cast reasonable doubt upon a particular artwork. Some signs may show up in non-traced art as well. Use logic and proper judgement when making any assumptions. Obvious tracing is obvious, but don't witch hunt.
All these signs pertain to drawing figures and not objects/landscapes.
Understanding why most (bad) tracing is done helps us recognize some of the signs quite readily. By far, the majority of the time someone traces to pass of art as their own, they are tracing for anatomy specifΒ It does not have to be exact to count. That would be downright stupid of the tracer if it was. XD
Trust me, she's a liar. I'm just here to warn you. She literally told me to kill myself/'kys' earlier today because I'm fighting back. Proof:Β

You cannot steal an art style, you can be inspired, but the only way you can "steal" an art style is if you copy line for line or image for image, aka tracing or heavy referencing. I took a look at both the art styles. The only similarities I could find was a bouncy/dramatic style of lining. Shading, coloring, and posing, are all very different. Even then, I don't believe you can steal an art style, I've seen many people with that kind of style, its a choice not copyright.
As for tracing. Again, I don't see any similarities. I touched on each area circled and how they were different. Tracing is copying the linework, or sections of linework, if it is not exact then it is referencing, not tracing. Even then, the anatomy is still different in both pieces, along with the shading, and colors. Literally the only thing that is similar is the jawline, and even that is more elongated and curved compared to the straight pointed jawline of the "traced" piece. The evidence is not solid enough, period.
Lastly, I believe you when you say she isn't a kind individual. The things she's said and done are inexcusable and I'm sorry she's said those things to you. But despite this, I can't say this piece is traced, it's too different.
Even though I don't think it's traced I still think she should 1000% apologize to you and the other people she's insulted/hurt, I'm with you there.
I don't plan on interacting with her any further unless she directly approaches me or traces/steals my art. Otherwise I can't do much (as only the original artist can report for theft) If you need any help dealing with her unkind gestures or need to vent then I'm still willing to talk and help.

You're acting like I'm being irrational? I've agreed with you on one front. Then I gave my reasoning as to why I don't think the piece is traced. You have yet to give any counter argument or definitive proof to show that the piece is traced. All you've said is.
"Oh she's stolen art styles tho"
"Here's a journal on how to catch a tracer" (Which even sided with me by using an example that had many traced exact lines from the original, aka tracing not referencing)
"The lines aren't exact but it's still tracing because it kinda looks similar"
If you give me definitive proof then I will side with you.

Ok, well that's fine. In case you missed it I want to reiterate, the tracing she has done, and the insults she is slinging towards you and others is bad. I think she should apologize for that. I read the whole journal. While there is some very clear tracing evidence in that journal, the example you commented here is not one of those pieces of evidence. As said above, that piece could be using the original as reference, but it doesn't trace it. The journal just reiterates what you said above.
Other than that, the piece on the website in a different language is 100% traced, didn't even have to enlarge the image to be able to tell. I would like more evidence to show that it is the same artist (because I can't read what is going on in that website) But if it is her then she needs to delete it pronto. Otherwise, again, the whole style thing isn't the same as tracing. I enlarged the two drawings that were given, and while it seems to reference the style (Which is perfectly fine to do, that's how you develop skills) it isn't tracing the original pieces. Heck she even credited the artist whom she was referencing in the description. The only thing that really needs to be touched on is the piece on that website in my opinion.
I'll be a little busy tomorrow with homework and commissions, but I'll try to get back to you then ASAP
