# About me
Things have changed IMMENSELY in the last three years of my life. From falling in love to experiencing the worst tragedy possible as a human being, I have changed so much. Yet, I'm still myself. People change with every moment of every day and it never fails. I count my blessings everyday.I met the man I fell for in 2011. His name is Dewayne Johnson and he is the exact opposite of The Rock. He is extremely down to Earth, homey, and slightly southern. In short, he is everything I never thought I'd want in a man. He is my best friend, my love, and my heart.
In 2012, we had a son. Alexander Todd Johnson. He was as amazing as his name made him appear. When he was four months old, we lost him to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), a disease believed to be in connection with the child brain stem not being properly connected. Due to that, something as simple as sleeping on their belly can cause them not breathe properly. He literally fell asleep and never woke up. To make the situation even more confusing is there is no factual explanation for this other than the child just wasn't fully developed. It's not the mother's fault, the father's, the doctor's, or anyone else. There's no one to blame.
The journey that Dewayne and I have trekked together has been a road of pain, grieving, confusion, sadness, forgiveness, love, laughter, and has lead us to the Lord. We are much stronger than we ever could have imagined we could be. We know this is exactly how Alexander would have wanted us to be.
Now, in 2014, we're excited to say we are currently preparing to welcome our second child into the world. We're as ready as we'll ever be and so excited.
This is my life, now. I'm not seeking pity, apologies, or anything like that. I've decided to fall in love with art all over again and behind all art, photos, paintings, writings, whatever, there is a story in that artist's life that you know nothing about.
I wish to share my story and tell you that beyond all pain, there is joy, happiness, and love. No matter the pain, you will always find your way.
